Chapter 01
In the pages of life’s chapters—time, storylines, and the cycles of the world—everything old will eventually be replaced by the younger generation. But what happens if that generation does not live up to expectations?
A tragic event befell the descendant of a powerful figure from ancient times. He was the descendant of an Emperor, a ruler. Yet his inability to train or cultivate caused him to be ostracized and ridiculed. And it was not only a small group—large groups also mocked and lamented this descendant. In that era, this bloodline had once been greatly respected. However, after thousands of years passed, the mighty descendants who had once ruled the Shentu Continent began to fracture. Differences in opinion, strength, and the desire to stand out as the leader became the trigger for the collapse within that lineage. The Wushi Clan split into two factions, and each of them wanted to create an opportunity to become rulers like their ancestor, Wu Xiao Shi. The Shentu Continent possessed land spanning millions of kilometers. There were countless opportunities to become powerful, and much of that land had already been claimed by great ancient clans and passed down to their descendants. It must be known that it was not only the Wushi Clan that split apart. The Empire they once possessed was also divided into four separate empires. That glory had collapsed under the weight of greed. Now, in one of the remote mountain ranges, there lived exiled people from the Wushi Clan. Clearly, they were one part of the once-powerful clan that had ruled the entire Shentu Continent. That clan had split into two major forces and further fractured into dozens of smaller branches. Some of them no longer used the name Wushi Clan and replaced it with clan names they wished to establish themselves. Because others would hunt them down to kill them. Clearly, this was because of a treasure left behind by Wu Xiao Shi before his departure to the realm of the Gods. What treasure was that? … … … Bang! A figure was sent flying miserably through the air, struck by a punch that landed directly on his chest. His ribs shattered instantly from that blow. After all, the strength released by a cultivator against an ordinary person would cause severe damage—even without using spiritual energy. Blood sprayed into the air as he crashed down, his chest slamming into the ground first. One could imagine the state he was in. Naturally, there would be many internal injuries in addition to the external wounds. Yet the young man endured the harshness of life. He did not want to die, and hatred began to flow through his blood. That hatred produced an aura of death that unconsciously emerged from his body. The change within him ignited a fighting spirit. But even so, he could not stand when he tried. His body seemed unwilling to rise and instead remained face down on the ground. There were four people on the mountain peak. Three of them stood there, looking down disdainfully at the figure who had just been struck and now lay sprawled on the ground. Song Que. He was the young man currently lying on the ground. He glared at the three people from the same clan as him. Not only was he unable to cultivate, but he was also extremely weak. His physical condition was so poor that he could not even train physically. What hope could anyone place on such a youth? But something shocking suddenly happened. A black aura began to emerge from his body. The aura was so terrifying that the three who had been looking down at Song Que unconsciously stepped back three steps. They could feel fluctuations of dark energy creeping into their blood. “Run! He’s possessed by a Mountain Demon!” Song Bai shouted to the two companions who were still stunned by the situation. Clearly, they had not expected Song Que to suffer such misfortune. Being possessed by a Mountain Demon meant terrible luck. Song Bai immediately ran down the mountain with the other two. He did not care about what would happen to Song Que afterward. The most important thing was saving their own lives, and the three of them agreed with that thought as they fled. After all, Song Que himself was a disgrace to the Song Clan. At the age of seventeen, he could not even absorb spiritual energy and was said to have no soul root at all. That was the reason Song Que was so ostracized. Song Que had been born into the Song Clan on a pitch-dark night. Lightning struck everywhere as if the sky itself was about to collapse. Fierce winds blew violently. It could not be considered a blessing but rather a disaster that struck half of the Shentu Continent. His mother died shortly after giving birth to him, and his father also suffered misfortune. Although his father had once been the strongest person in Song Village, it was useless in the end. He was severely injured and even lost both of his legs during a battle against the clan’s mortal enemies—the hidden clan known as the Ancient Wushi Clan. Since that time, Song Lin, Song Que’s father, was no longer the leader of the village and was set aside merely as an advisor. Even that role was not very useful. However, the Song Clan still respected the little contribution Song Lin had once made, allowing the two of them to continue living in Song Village. Even though they had not contributed anything for more than a dozen years. But there would always be those who wished to destroy them. A conspiracy clearly existed to remove Song Lin’s small family from Song Village. They began reducing the income given to Song Que, using the excuse that he could not cultivate, let alone reach heights that could bring honor to Song Village. Each month, the supply of materials decreased and became extremely scarce. Song Lin could only sigh inwardly when he saw the meager supplies they received. But what could he do? He could only regret his own helplessness. “Song Que is possessed! Help him!” Song Bai shouted as he entered the village. He looked hurried as he tried to inform everyone to quickly go help. From one perspective, his actions appeared noble. Everyone who heard him came out of their houses and rushed to see what had happened. Song Lin was also there, leaning on two crutches under his arms. “Uncle Lin, Song Que… Song Que has been possessed by a Mountain Demon!” Song Bai said, appearing concerned about the situation. But quite a bit of time had already passed. Earlier, after Song Bai and the other two reached the foot of the mountain, they stopped to rest when they sensed no one chasing them. They waited there for quite a while—perhaps more than the time it takes for a stick of incense to burn. Only after that did they head back to the village. “What did you say? Where is my son now? Answer me quickly!” Seriousness was evident on Song Lin’s face as he stared at Song Bai. Clearly, he doubted the good intentions behind those words. He knew Song Bai’s character in the village. He was someone who often bullied Song Que, his son. There was no way he would act kindly and play the hero. Something terrible must have happened, and Song Bai must have been involved. Without realizing it, Song Lin grabbed Song Bai’s clothes tightly. Song Lin had told Song Que to search for medicinal herbs at the mountain peak. He also wanted to train Song Que’s physique, so he instructed his son to climb up and down the mountain to strengthen his body and prevent him from becoming too weak. “Uncle… what are you doing? That hurts!” Song Bai looked frightened and in great pain. But it was merely a trick to create a situation. Although he did feel pain, it would be worth it if the conspiracy he had in mind worked according to plan. “Song Lin, release my son! Aren’t you ashamed of bullying a junior, huh?” When that voice sounded, Song Bai’s heart was filled with joy, though he displayed anger on the outside. “Uncle Lin. I kindly came to inform you about this. But what happened? What did you do? You hurt me!” Song Lin immediately released his grip. He had lost control of his emotions for a moment while thinking about the fate of his only son. “Forgive me… Is my son still on the mountain?” Song Lin asked with a trembling voice. Of course, he did not believe the claim that his son had been “possessed by a Mountain Demon.” But he still had to go there. “Yes, Uncle. He’s still up there. I didn’t dare approach him. He was emitting an aura of death,” Song Bai explained, looking sorrowful. He was quite skilled at acting. A sharp glint flashed in his eyes as he hid a smile. ‘By the time you get up there… he might already be dead.’Expand

Incarnation Of The Overlord Chapter 321
Song Que stood tall, staring intently at the two opponents in front of his eyes. Behind his sharp gaze, a strong determination to defeat them was hidden. His hand gripped the Fire Dragon Sword tightly, his signature weapon famous in the martial world. The sword shone, radiating a blazing red aura, as if fused with its owner. The two opponents before him, who came from the Qu Clan, looked uneasy and frightened. They exchanged glances with frantic expressions, looking for a way to fight Song Que. Their faces were pale, and cold sweat poured heavily from their foreheads, showing how much they felt the extraordinary pressure from Song Que’s power. Meanwhile, Song Que felt a powerful aura clinging to his body, flowing heavily and supplying Qi to the Fire Dragon Sword. The more Qi that flowed, the more it awakened the ferocious nature of the sword.
