Alternate Time

After driving for quite awhile and passing several more groups of zombies, they reached a clearing where most of the vehicles and trucks had stopped and people were starting to pile out. The stranger hopped out and walked to one of the many generators, turning it on and starting it up. He ran back over to where the rest of the group was gathering.

“Everyone stay calm,” he called as the others looked to see him.

“We are almost out, and once we have a few more blocks to go, we should be able to drive through and then continue our journey”

“That sounds good,” said Bali

Another ten minutes passed before they had made it to the main street that led toward the entrance of the city. A small group of people stood waiting, some holding signs, others simply watching from afar, while a few others were gathered together, some arguing with their neighbors.

The group approached slowly as it got closer to the group. “What's going on? Who are you people? What are doing here?” Bali asked
