"Why didn't you turn on the lights?" Serenity asked, feeling that something was off.

Jackson simply avoided her question and murmured, "I missed you."

Serenity's face flushed red, her heart racing. She was glad for the dark surroundings and hid her red face in the darkness.

"What about you? Did you miss me today?" His deep voice resonated through her, his breath brushing the nape of her neck.

All her attention shifted to the nape of her neck. She could feel his breath, and his lips were close to her, almost kissing her ear.

In a daze, she felt a tickle of pain on her earlobe. She jolted to her senses, her face bright crimson. Jackson was nibbling her ear!

"Did you miss me?" His low murmur rang again.

"Yes..." she almost stammered. "Uh... Let me go. I'll put my bag away," she said unsteadily.

She could barely breathe, and the air that hung there between them was too much for her to handle.

He did not oblige, still holding her in his embrace. Instead, he probed for her answer
