"You agreed?" Kevan studied Larissa with narrowed eyes. He knew that she had been wanting to get divorced since the day they'd gotten married. Now that there was such a good opportunity before her, she had no reason to not hold on to it. The moment he thought of that, his heart began to make its way up to his throat, and he unconsciously slowed down his breathing.

Larissa felt a numb, tingling sensation from his stare, and she turned away guiltily.

Kevan's face darkened further as he sneered. "Happy now?"

Larissa's hands, which were in her lap, clenched tightly together, and chills ran down her spine. She licked her dry lips before answering his first question, "I didn't agree."
