Thea curled into James’s arms and cried her heart out.

James cradled her and comforted her gently.

When Thea finally stopped crying, she asked, “Darling, the Callahans are all but destroyed now. How do you plan to get us out of this and even more, build us up again?”

James answered, “I don’t know how but I’ll find a way soon, I promise. They’ll just have to cope with this ordeal for now. It wouldn’t be bad for them to learn how to swallow their pride as well.”

“Hmm…”

Thea had no other choice at this point but to blindly trust in James.
