Mark felt ashamed of himself, his confidence sunk underneath his soul, and all he wanted at that point was to leave the Grand Hall but how could he?.

Judith sneered and walked to her chair, all eyes were on her and she was adored like a goddess,

Everyone made a toast to her except Mark, the only reason he was at the event was to satisfy his wife, he didn't want to get her upset.

"This is beautiful, thank you Mr George" Judith said and admired the chain with a smile on her face

Mark stared at his gift again and shook his head in pity, he imagined the disgrace he would face, his wife would be disappointed but it wasn't his fault, he was poor and helpless.

"On behalf of my family, I present you with this diamond ring worth over $2,500,000. Happy birthday mother" Alice said with a smile as she presented her gift

"It seems you have a lot of jewelries to choose from my beautiful lady, perhaps you can add this beautiful diamond ring worth $2,500,000 to your beautiful collection" Bruce said and placed his box in Judith's hands while Mark scoffed and frowned.

"That's your gift my dear wife, I have something far beautiful," Alice's husband, Gregory called out and everyone paused for a moment

He brought out a car key from his pocket and Judith stared at him with uncertain, she narrowed a little smile on her face but kept an open mind

everyone gasped at such a magnificent amount, he was filthy rich and he was also the CEO of the Quine Group, one of the richest billionaire empires in the country. Judith stepped out of her chair and gave Mr Gregory a hug, she was taken aback by such a beautiful gift from her second son-in-law.

"I'm indeed very blessed to have a man of caliber as my son-in-law, God bless the day you found my daughter," Judith said and hugged Gregory

Mark stared at them and he was lost in thoughts, he was once loved by Judith, she called him the sweetest names she could think of but it was all because he had more than enough money to throw around.

"Mother, you're indeed priceless and special to me and to celebrate your birthday, here are the keys to a furnished five-bed-room penthouse with the luxury garden you have always wanted. Elena stared at her husband, she had a smile on her face and held her hopes high, she trusted that Mark wouldn't disgrace her for the second time because all eyes were on him and he couldn't afford to make a mistake before the millionaires and billionaires who watched to see what happens next.

Mark walked to Judith, using his crutches and the little strength he had in his wounded body, he stared at Judith's eyes and shook his head in shame.

Judith smiled at how angered Elena had become, it was all she ever wanted, their marriage was an insult to her pride and she wanted it to end for good.

"i never saw any money in my account, I have been blocked by the bank," Mark said in defense and crawled to his crutches before managing to stand on his own

"How can you know when you use a broken phone, when last did you deposit in that damned account, wretched fool" she cursed

An elderly lady gasped for oxygen and shook violently, she held her throat tight, everyone gave her distance as they watched in utter shock and in seconds, she collapsed on the ground.
