Times passed and I knew I had gotten so attached to Timi. I couldn't explain it but he was always there for me. He'd sometimes go to work for almost a whole week before returning back to Emeka's place. It was quite a distance but the selfish part of me didn't care. Rona made it a point of duty to always condemn me for having a boyfriend while parading myself with Timi either going sight seeing or hanging out with him. I consoled myself by reminding myself that Timi was just a friend and nothing special was attached to it. Whenever Derrick called me and we have our typical one hour+ conversation, my heart would bleed and wished he was around me and I could see his face and be rest assured that he is mine and not Timi. My life was going fine. Apart from the stress of attending classes, Rona's continuous pestering on me to go to church, Aisha's mood swings, Debra's occasional tantrums... Life was good. Timi had gone back home and it's been a month I last saw him. I thought I would die but Rona's pestering would be enough to bring me back to life. "can you girls come with me to church? "" Debra, you have a nice voice, why don't you join the choir "" come, let's have a minute of prayer "" Do you know God is a great God! "" I believe you know Jesus is the way, the truth and the life "" can you speak in tongues? "Aisha would always scream at Rona. One day, when Rona started her usual bugging. Debra who was having this severe headache turned to her and asked "would you mind going to club with us tonight?"&

I successfully came out of the pool, obviously panicking. "where are you going to? "  Debra asked as she also came out. " we should go and meet her, at least help her " I turned to say. " why would you even believe such thing? You know what Jenny and Olivia are capable of doing " Aisha frowned. I picked up my towel " Jenny was crying, she was obviously frightened by what Olivia was trying to do and besides, I told you the other day that Olivia fainted in the cafe "" you know what? I think you girls should go and check on her.... " Timi suggested. Rona nodded in agreement and we finally left to change out of our suits back to something dry. " do you need me to come with you "Timi asked " no, I've stressed you like way too much, you should stay back "He nodded as he picked up his things, Emeka joined him.
