Chapter 230 : Mermaids
The blue-haired mermaid seemed to be injured but it wasn’t that severe. Basically, he had few bruises in his exposed arms and a bit under his neck, that’s about it. As he spotted the Dark Knight and the Wicked Witch, he didn’t seem wary, just slightly surprised. First, he briefly scanned the cave before walking toward them with a dashing smile. “I did not think I’d meet humans here!” In Hell Gate’s world, there were different races and, more often than not, each race has a language unique to them. But, with the help of the System, the players did not need to learn the language from scratch, unless it’s related to a quest but such a case is very rare. It all depends on

Chapter 231 : Kujan Kingdom
It was pointless to remain in that small cave so Azem led Mira and Leiu to the mermaid kingdom, which, despite the name, was composed of only one mesmerizing city. The architecture used was unique and totally different from anything the two humans had ever seen. The houses and large buildings were made from colored granite, very flashy and pleasing to the eyes.  Also, despite being deep underwater, this city was illuminated by the sun rays, though Azem did not specify, he did say that it was the work of an artifact. As they were guided to the Mermaids’ haven, Azem was kind enough to answer some of their questions and talk about the situation here. First and foremost, the mermaids were a tribal race, meaning that they are divided into several tribes, each leaving i

Chapter 232 : Re; Heaven's Gate
‘Hah! I can’t die here!’ The woman clad in a silvery-white heavy armor with only her head revealed was currently fighting dozens of beasts at the same time. These monsters with blackened skin and an aura of death and decay were actually the Blight Beasts. Estelle Sigreen, the woman who managed to obtain the unique class ‘Genesis Knight’, arrived at the Black Blight Forest to complete a quest. However, her arrival greatly angered and agitated the Blight Beasts, almost driving them mad. She was able to kill the weaker ones but once the giants and the Hive, especially, appeared, she was outpowered and pushed into a corner. It hasn’t been long since the change appeared, which made her aware of the secret behind this virtual game calle

Chapter 233 : Shadows and Darkness Alike
“Hey Maria, do you reckon he’ll agree?” Ronzi seemed hesitant about this quest and repeatedly asked the leader of the small yet famous Black Dragon Guild. After officially completing the counselor’s difficult quest, Maria became a Knuckles Priest, a class equally divided between battling and healing. Victorious became a Royal Thief and Ronzi is now a Wizard, which was actually a unique and extremely powerful mage-type class.  Right after getting their rewards, Zeno Ver Kantika, the king’s counselor, offered them Two quests which are both difficult, especially the second one. *For Noules’ Prosperity QuestDifficulty: S+Description: The Blight wasn&rsqu

Chapter 234 : Spy
“Caer, what is this?! Humans in our kingdom?!” The mermaid with short green-hair glared at Leiu and Mira, who stood up and approached Azem’s father. He didn’t even hide his hostility… were it not for Caer’s presence, he would have attacked them already, Leiu was sure of that. *Junilus Prasinus (Race: Mermaid): Lv130Health: 178,000/178,000Title: Demon Contractor* ‘I knew it!’ Once he was close enough, the system showed him the basic stuff about his target. The moment he laid eyes on the title, Leiu’s suspicious were ascertained. That inexplicably familiar sensation that surged inside of him indeed ori

Chapter 235 : Who Tricks Who? (1)
After hearing the conversation between the three suspicious black-haired mermaids, Leiu did not remain there any longer, he returned to Azem’s house and thought things through.  He decided to maintain obliviousness, at least for now, he deemed it as the safest option. There is no way of knowing when Lanna and her ‘friends’ will make a move or if they’re even going to do something. Although he witnessed their secretive meeting, it’s still not enough to do anything crucial. Even were he to tell Caer, the king may not believe him and, supposedly, if he did, Lanna could feign ignorance.  Basically, Leiu has no conclusive evidence apart from what he saw and heard, which simply isn’t enough. After all, he can’t outright say that he followed the System’s hint, it’s an absurd cl

Chapter 236 : Who Tricks Who? (2)
The next day, just as Lanna had planned, Leiu and company met with Exandel. The green-haired handsome mermaid wasn’t pleased to see his sister hanging out with Azem and the two humans. Almost immediately, he showed his dissatisfaction and blocked their path. This time, the mermaid was alone but he didn’t care, he spoke with a loud voice and even grabbed his spear. “I told you to not meet my sister! I will make you regret it!” Exandel was about to attack but Lanna stepped forward and tried to calm him down. “Brother, we’re in the middle of the street.. please calm down and let me explain.” “Explain? You’r

Chapter 237 : Fat
“The meat is really delicious! Mhmm!!” In the Eternal Abyss Manor, Mira was enjoying the delicacies she had stored so far. The girl was a wondrous creature, eating loads and loads of food and not even appearing uncomfortable or full. In the span of one hour, she ate half of everything that Leiu and Azem bought, and were it not for her partner, who stepped in and stopped her, she would have finished everything. “Aren’t you afraid you’ll get fat?” Annoyed, Leiu reproached her but she shrugged and retorted, “I’m a ghost. Ghosts can’t get fat.” Read more
Chapter 238 : Lockdown
“I was right, you were in cahoots with Caer.” With a bloodthirsty expression and a chilling glare, Lanna faced the Dark Knight. She was still firmly holding her two curved daggers despite sustaining several injuries and fighting for twenty whole minutes. Ten meters away from her, Leiu stood straight and held the greatsword with both hands, some of his equipment damaged and breathing uneven. Turns out that fighting a mermaid is harder than he imagined. They are capable of flying and their scaly tails are very tough, almost impenetrable, at least in Lanna’s case. The innocent-looking black-haired girl was an experienced fighter, agile and equipped with an arsenal of skills that resembled the assassin

Chapter 239 : The Room
Author note: WARNING! This chapter contains a lot of gore and is for the weak hearts.******************************** “S-sir! We captured an intruder!” “Already?” Junilus, Exandel’s father, creased his brows as he looked at his subordinate. He motioned for him to bring the intruder, which was soon dragged into the center of this large hall that was as big as Caer’s house. Unlike the king of the Kujan Kingdom, Junilus enjoyed a lavish life and had the biggest house in the city. Additionally, he had a fair bit of subordinates under him, all loyal to him and him only. Read more
