Chapter 260 : Employee Stubbornness
When the curtain of the night started appearing, Hye Nari returned to the Happy Happy internet café. She headed directly to her office and found the youth there, fortunately. He was napping but awakened the second the door was opened.  He awkwardly sat up and greeted her with a nod of his head. He noticed that the woman changed into a new set of clothes; A black leather summer jacket, black jeans ripped around the knees, and, surprisingly, a thick and foot-long baton holstered in her waist as if she was a police officer. “Did you find what you need in the forums?” She asked with her usual voice, which tended to be a tad loud. “More than enough. Thank you for lending me your laptop.” Read more
Chapter 261 : The Northern Warn (1)
It has been forty-two days since the Blight Beasts invaded the North and the dawn of the forty-third day, the Blight army, as some players called it, reached NetherFrost City, ready to conquer the last defense point. The players present, though few, were ready and a little excited, unlike the Knights and soldiers, who only had one life. All the players that were participating in the war were given generous quests and all they had to do is slay Blight Beasts or try to defend the city. The looming black fog was getting closer to the city, darkening the snow and corrupting the earth and frozen vegetation. It was soon about to start. The second battle between those abominations and humans, but, at that time, none predict what the outcome would be. The knights under Silver Gicolt

Chapter 262 : The Northern War (2)
One hour passed since the start of the battle, the Blight Monsters continued their attack relentlessly, disregarding the massive losses they were suffering. The Hive, which looked like a disgusting large piece of mangled meat with protruding faces and limbs, was hidden inside the small and darkened forest, commanding the beasts and ordering them to attack the strongest of the humans, mainly the unstoppable cavalry.   Initially, there were five hundred of Gicolt’s mounted knights, but an hour in, one hundred and fifty had lost their lives. Of course, the Blight Beasts lost more than ten times that number, and considering that less than a hundred of the pike-wielding soldiers at the foot of the walls had died, the humans could be considered the advantageous party, nonetheless, the dead cavalry was still a big part of the defending side.    Read more
Chapter 263 : The Northern War (3)
“Faster Milkan! Run faster!” Leiu pressed himself against the black beast’s wide and thick neck and repeatedly urged it to hurry, which it certainly did. It sped up, bypassing the few players also running toward Netherfrost city. The sudden appearance and disappearance of Milkan startled them and frightened their mounts, which were mostly horses.  The Dark Knight was so focused on reaching the city that he paid no heed to no one, without exception. He could hear loud rumbling and explosions, as well as the fire rising to the sky. The fight has already started, he thought, hoping to arrive in time. There were two main reasons he decided to go to the North. First, it was to acquire the Dwarven Power Core, the last

Chapter 264 : The Northern War (4)
“He’s on the wall! The Nameless Knight is on the wall!” The players, seeing Leiu perform a great leap and safely land on the wall, panicked and fled to the back. The soldiers, a bit braver despite having one life, pulled on the bowstring and showered the youth with arrows.  Luckily for them, Leiu wasn’t there to fight them. He gave one last glance to the battlefield before jumping again, soon disappearing inside the city. There were soldiers and even a couple of players at the foot of the wall, on the other side of the gate(inside), but they didn’t have the time to chase after the Dark Knight. Like many others, the now haggard and tired Frozen Torch also noticed Leiu but didn&rsquo

Chapter 265 : Succor To The Death
As she was walking next to Leiu, his arm still supporting her, Alethia was still in a state of speechlessness. At first, she thought she was dreaming but the stinging pain coming from her fresh injuries brought her back to reality. “My brother…” “Don’t worry about Fairti. Safe.” The girl breathed a sigh of relief and moved forward with difficulty. Even with the youth helping her, the pain was too much and her knees were about to give up. When she met Leiu for the first time, she was suspicious of him and didn’t try to mask her hostility. Later, however, their relationship improved and he even started training her and teaching her a few good moves. <

Chapter 266 : Don't Look Back
Leiu was still shaken, his eyes hollow and filled with confusion. While carrying the worried Alethia, he made his way out of the manor, marching with rapid steps toward the origin of the piercing scream. A couple of minutes earlier, two hundred meters away from the Gicolt manor, in the wide commercial street of the city, Fairti and Mira were running away from a bunch of Disposable Scout Automata and Disposable Aerial Scout. Mira was able to take down the ones that attacked them in the manor but they were forced to flee. Fairti’s shoulder was injured and he was losing a lot of blood. Fortunately, he managed to bandage it using some of his ripped clothes but he was showing signs of fatigue, his fa

Chapter 267 : Blood of the Fallen
“I assume my instructions are crystal clear, yes?”   Zeno, the King’s counselor, was in a dimly lit room, facing several people. His eyes narrowed as they focused on one particular person, a woman with bunny ears… a female beastmen.    “Y-yes!”   “I want him alive! Don’t use force. I want him to come here willingly yet unwittingly.”   “Unwittin-what?” Femy, the rabbit woman, stuttered as she tilted her head in confusion.   “Unintentionally. Lure him here without any means necessary.”   “Sir, how can we make him come willingly and, err, unwittin...gly?”   Read more
Chapter 268 : History Lesson
Volume 3 : Glory to Noules!Act1 : Tales of Demons and Devils It took Leiu and Fairti only a couple of hours to cross the canal. The System Notification informing him of the newly saved chapter appeared mid-way. Too dispirited and grief-stricken, Leiu only thought about those he had lost, those who were too weak to save. Fairti, with the help of Health Potion and some bandages, was able to slightly recover. Nevertheless, after appearing on the other side, Leiu teleported to the Eternal Abyss Manor along with his remaining friend. The two were blood-soaked, but it was hard to tell whether it’s their blood or the enemies’ blood. Unlike his companions and friend, Leiu was in a worse condition, his body in a complete wrec

Chapter 269 : The Hero of the North
When Leiu and Fairti Gicolt eating dinner and chatted for about an hour, they headed upstairs, to their rented inn room. It was a small room with two beds, a simple dusty wooden desk, and a couple of creaking chairs stuffed in one of the corners. This place- without a doubt- was shabbier than the Eternal Abyss Manor, but it’s better than camping in the middle of the forest. Leiu thought it unnecessary to waste his limited teleports just to spend the night in the manor instead of here.   “So…”   Fairti jumped on the bed and spread his limbs to all sides, stretching them in a comical manner and letting out embarrassing moans.   “What will we do now? I know that I said we should stay in Moonlake but maybe you have others plans?”   Read more
