Chapter 63
The Driver shot up, surprised. The Carriage raced against the wind as it sped through the dirt road towards the city. "Tell Raka, That I'll meet him soon in the Academy" Marcus relaxed himself back on the soft cushion and closed his eyes for a moment. His eyes seemed to burn because of the sun hitting on the. through the window.  Well the thing that mattered now was...How the hell did he find about the driver??. The Driver was sweating. How'd he manage to find it out???, The Driver's thoughts were madly dancing inside his head as the carriage picked up speed.  They were finally on the concrete paved road when a familiar someone spoke inside his mind (Driver's) "It was easy old man, Don't worry. I am not going to do anything to you"  It was Marcus's voice. The driver turned to look through the opening. But he was sleeping on the cushion.&nb

Chapter 64
The Rest of the 3 counters were cleared in a jiffy as Marcus invaded other counters and left them in awe.  Within 10 minutes, the counters were deserted, with no one around Instead of the Revokers and the officials.  Marcus stood in front of the Counters and looked at them proudly. His chest was puffed out as he felt a strange feeling of warm air creep inside his diaphragm as he breathed in and out. The Counter doors opened and the officials rushed out. All of them, even the Revokers came forth and stood as a group.  All of them bowed down and cried out in unison.  "Thank you Marcus" His body went stiff and his shoulders popped up as red streaks of embarrassment sprayed on his face.  "Ah, please don't do that, I am lucky that I could help" Marcus thanked them with a bow himself. T

The Upper hand?
"MARCUSSS!!"The commentator bellowed through his microphone.  Marcus nodded as soon as he heard his name echo throughout the huge arena. His steps were slow as he enjoyed the atmosphere with the crowd there to cheer. Cheer? Most of them were booing at him whereas some didn't even look at him.  He was just 5 meters away when he saw Gabriel look at him sharply. He was examining Marcus. He was still masked, so Gabriel hadn't yet seen his face. Marcus was also pretty sure that he was in his attire only one time in the school that day, UNMASKED. But he was also pretty much confirmed that Gabriel hadn't yet recognized him. Even though the black sleeves didn't stand out that much, but they gave an entirely different look to his high-ranking attire.  Gabriel was anyways the type to ignore people he thinks are unworthy of his priceless attention and the people who get his so-called attention are mostly rich people who have a higher status

How to trash someone!
"Gotta give them a show for their money, Ya know?" Marcus laughed at the trembling figure of Gabriel.  The life in his face was completely flushed out just like the air inside when the balloon pops.    Gabriel stood in his place trembling, the man in front of him was the same guy whom he had challenged in the morning. And it was coincidentally Marcus too??.    Gabriel's mind screamed at him. It screamed at him asking how Marcus had survived his attack and how his hand broke. The Double punch he gave him was a child's play for Marcus. Gabriel remembered how he had felt when he punched the man in front of him who claimed to be Marcus.    HIS BODY FELT LIKE AN IMPREGNABLE IRON WALL!!.   "No! step back"  Gabriel fumbled with his words when he saw the Man he thought was a wimp walk towards him. He struggled to drag his body back through the floor. His hand

Revenge...Check!!
Marcus's fist didn't connect with Gabriel's destroyed face, Instead, it grazed his skull. But that was enough to shatter the clouds around them and sent Gabriel blasting down. His height reached the maximum and Marcus was paused in the air just for a second but soon felt the gravity act on him. They had reached a height where eagles flew.  Gabriel's limp body sliced through the air, down into the arena with a terrifying force. Marcus was right above him, diving headfirst.  The Crowd went panic mode altogether when they saw two black spots plummeting down into the earth. Gabriel's Unconscious body would have burned if it wasn't for Marcus manipulating the air around them.  The speed at which they were falling was still the same when Marcus aimed Gabriel's body at the king and poked him with one of his fingers. He created a transparent air path with his other hand and manoeuvred Gabriel's still body to the g

Chapter 65
He had a smile that reached his eyes. Marcus G Orno's hand was held up high and proud by the referee beside him.  Marcus had just a second ago scored his first official victory against the king's son, his childhood enemy. The audience was the witness to the destruction of Gabriel Richard on that day. There was no way the resurrected Gabriel could deny that he lost to Marcus, whom he used to overwhelm years ago. Everything he wanted to do about the match was done. Especially the plan to act as if he was losing was the biggest success.  Marcus's eyes were gleaming with pride while he stood on the elevated arena with people, the size of the entire city cheering him on.  But the voice that made his eyes sparkle was the commentator's ricocheting voice through the microphone.  "VICTORYYYY!!!!""GIVE IT UP FOR MARCUS G ORNO PEOPLEEEE!!!!!!!"

Chapter 66
"The winner is MARCUSSSS!!!"Booming voices of people and the commentator crammed his thoughts when the referee on his left proclaimed his name while raising his hand.  The system's voice had been hauled back to the corners and he jerked his head back to reality, shutting his domain in an instant. Right now he was standing in the arena accompanied by the arbitrator and a lofty, voluminous swarm of city folks. It had been like that for 5 minutes.  If his eyes were accurate, then the king was quivering when his tread hindered near him. The Monarch had stridden out of his VIP lounge and had made his route down to the combat arena where he collected Marcus's scrutiny with shivering knees. The winner was deemed to be rewarded and valued by the king after a battle. Now all Raymond was speculating beside Marcus was how to perform his part there as promptly as feasible.

A Filler Before The Twist
"Bro? *chuckle* You coming?" Marcus could only chuckle at the teared-up Sean Guster who was virtually on his knees because of the sudden surprise. How did he know?. Well... Marcus read his mind. He discerned Sean's suffering and to help him like this was the right thing and the only thing he could do.  How did he think of aiding Sean?. Simple. He just thought about his own family.  Marcus shook his head, it wasn't the time to trash talk or even waste time reasoning. There's someone who is waiting in the shadows, lurking in the dark, idling for the right time to pounce on him.  And ... He moreover had the otherworldly hero to look after. If what the system said was true (which it is) then he had another powerful rival to face, that is if The Flame Emperor succeeds in his mission first, which Marcus thought was remotely possible with the old-timers' abilities lost.

A Casual Meet With The Prodigy - 1
"It's just that ... Master Raka has asked for your time" "AND?" ~ Marcus"And he seemed serious about it...".....The road they were on was unrecognizable as the golden carriage zoomed through it with the wind horses leashed at the front. They had taken a sharp right from the road after they passed the Capital Circle and had resumed their travel for about an hour. But even though the road was a new one for Marcus, the region itself was not desolate at all. It was embellished with synthetic pine trees which had a few naturals between them and all of them were lighted by LED bulbs. They were a cluster of twinkling trees in the dusk. It felt like they were traveling through an abandoned forest which was attended very well by the residents. But the weirdest thing Marcus caught sight of was that the area was entirely person-free. If the forest was being tended then there should have been some official personals or

A Casual Meet With The Prodigy - 2
"AHA, Marcus... That Cheat Seed of yours, it's... hella interesting." ..... "What do you mean??" The shock in his eyes narrowed as he slit his eyes. Marcus maintained his posture, just so that the young man before him wouldn't notice his surprise.  The man in front of him didn't utter a word and Marcus followed his silence. For a whole minute, they stared at each other like roosters in a fight, ready to jump at an opening.  The young man in front of him who was thought to be Raka was handsome. Sky Blue hair which was smoothened and straightened fell on his left eye, but the crystal red eyes stared straight through the hair, right at Marcus's narrow green ones.  The jawline Raka had was perfect, it was as straight as an arrow. His nose was perfectly aligned to his cool and pinkish-brown lips which were now shut fast as he stared at Marcus. Raka's skin tone was fair and white, making the black watch on his wrist s
