Chapter 14: There's The Devil.
Baldwin's whole body trembled like a blender, his arms cold: "Devil."He stammered all night to push out a chubby word: "There's a devil!"Beatrix Henry sighed, asking Dante sternly, "He can't speak. You tell him."Dante took a deep breath, stroking his face to stabilize his breathing. His chest repeatedly fluttered: "When you two went upstairs, it came."Beatrix Henry asked, "Did you see the devil with your own eyes?"Dante kept shaking his head: "No, no, no, no, no. The village chief told us to lock the curtains, and we didn't dare open the curtains."Phedra Henry stood up, looking toward the window that closed the curtains: "So how did you know it had come?"Dante bit his lips, hesitating: "Before, they knocked on the door violently, then hushed. I felt so quiet out there that I just opened a corner of the curtains. I didn't expect… I was afraid to faint."Dante's face was white, and Baldwin was crying.Dante covered his face and said, "I've never forgotten that scene in my life."
