The passing of his mother, his own child was born and then also left this world, also passed away, painful. He remembered that he could not close his eyes at night during the first three months he was away in Cavite. Guilt, anger, pain and frustration were able to claim him during those times. These items of memorabilia, held tightly to his heart, reminding him of a sentence he had written on his heart saying that he would come back one day for her. She was so beautiful, the brilliance of her brown eyes and white skin, wonderful.Hershey's eyes darted to her desk, glancing at the papers there. Holding the stacks, she cleared her throat, "We should get started with our day."Marco Junior nodded, "Yeah."Hershey lifted the papers to her chest and strode toward the door. With that step, her hip bit the papers that were left behind and knocked them down. Whispering under her breath, she whispered, "Owww." Bending down to pick them up, the ones in her hands were also sent flying. She closed her eyes. That's what she got for not paying attention.Marco Junior bent down to help her pick up the papers, a smile on his face. Chapter 52: The Signs
He looked up into dark emerald eyes, unwavering. Derek pushed aside the chills of discomfort and extended his hand, "I apologize about that." He stared at the young man wearing blue jean shorts, tennis shoes and a yellow and white striped polo shirt. When their hands came together, the handshake was short. Derek glanced at Tyler, "Do you want to come with us?" Tyler raised an eyebrow, sensing the anger between the two men. He said, "No, it's ok, Marc and I are going..." "Hey, I say go for it," he asked. Marc stated, his eyes on Hershey. Tyler looked at him. "Marc, if they want to be alone..." "No, it's cool let him, I'd like to hear how you met." Derek stated, making room for Tyler and Marc Junior. Marc sat next to Hershey, who was near the booth. Derek turned his gaze back to Marc, who just glared. Marc's eyes landed on him, meeting his gaze with a blank stare. When Tyler cleared his throat, he glanced down at the menu on his side of the table, "So, what's recommendable here?"

Chapter 53: The Attraction Is Strong
Hershey took a deep breath and finished his lunch with Derek. As much as she tried to focus, she couldn't help but hope that Marco Fernando Jr. would be okay. I hope he will be okay. She listened, until Marc's name fell from her lips. This caused her to pause in her thoughts. Her attention was focused on what Derek was saying awhile ago, "...and with the clothes he wears, you could tell he grew up here, I mean with that accent, he can't be from another place." Derek turned his gaze to Hershey, "You actually went out with him?" Hershey frowns, "What's wrong with him?" "He doesn't seem like your type, that's all." "What do you mean, Derek?" "You know, he is..." Derek racked his brain for a word to describe him, but came up empty. "I don't know. He doesn't even look like your type. His clothes are not fashionable and what about his hair? The creepy eyes." Hershey smiled, "Are you jealous of him, Derek?" Derek cleared his throat, "No, I just can't figure him to be your type, that's

Chapter 54: Surprise Encounter
(Two Days Later) Marco Fernando Jr. woke up on Thursday morning and went into the kitchen to rummage through the fridge. Leaning against the icebox, he rummaged through what was available. Seeing that there was none, he grinned and opened the freezer, it was also bare, empty. Letting out a frustrated sigh, he closed the fridge and thought about what to eat. He didn't have much money, considering the fact that after paying his rent for the month, and the month he was going to spend here, he was able to buy a round trip plane ticket, leaving enough to rent a car. He was an idiot for paying two thousand pesos for the car for the whole week and insurance that cost extra to cover. Now as he thought about it, he could have taken a jeep to SM supermarket, He made a mental note to file it away for the next time he visited. Sighing, he looked at the clock. It was half past seven in the morning, he still had plenty of time to get to the store and back. Running up to his room, he opened the cl

Chapter 55: Jealousy?
Hershey turned on the radio in the car, to the nearest soul R&B station. A Celine Dion song is playing. Her smooth sweet deep voice always seemed to calm Hershey. Celine Dion has to be her absolute favorite, and Toni Braxton too. It seems as she got older, her taste in music changed more. When she was young, all she listened to was hip-hop. After her best friend Stacy died in seventh grade, she drifted into more soulful ballads and now, as an adult, she's completely into soul, including some old jazz sounds. Sighing, Hershey stopped at the traffic lights, when it turned green, she continued driving towards her house. After opening the door, Hershey looked over at her nineteen-year-old sister, who had been studying with her for the past year at the local community college. She will go for an Associate degree in Business first and then go back to school to get a degree in fashion management. "Get up and help me with the groceries Vicki!" "I don't recall Mom asking you to buy the who

Chapter 56: Still In Love With Each Other?
Marc Junior raised an eyebrow in alarm. He reached out for her hand, ignoring the vigorous flow of blood at just one touch. "What are you doing?" She quarried, her eyes darting between him and her hand frantically. She was slowly pulled to where he was standing. She followed. It was the only reaction her pounding heart and dry mouth allowed. When she was nestled in between his legs, he whispered, "Sit down Chocolate." Her body immediately obeyed what she wanted to deny. A drop on his knee and he was kneeling in front of her. She avoided looking at his eyes. He touched her chin, "Chocolate, please, look at me."His voice was mixed with emotion. Hershey's eyes widened at him. She stared at the shiny dark emeralds in awe. Why do they have to be beautiful? "What are you jealous of?" She shrugged. "It's not that important." Marc Junior tasted it,"If it bothers you, eh." Hershey sighed, "Whatever." Marc Junior smiled, "Do you want me to be alone for a while?" Marco teased. Hershey's

Chapter 58: Still Confused?
Hershey's gaze shifted to the clock above the television. She couldn't believe it was only nine o'clock. Her eyes remained on the clock, feeling uneasy as the large hand ticked closer to her appointed departure time. She wanted to make sure everyone was in the house sleeping, before she headed over to Marc Junior's house. Every time she thought of the scene that happened between her and Marc Junior, she had to close her legs tightly to relieve the pain that was forcing her inside. She tried not to think about the feeling of his tongue sliding over her, but it wasn't happening. Her mind went against her will, thinking about what happened two days ago. It was the longest two days of her life. When she first entered the house, she decided to ignore what he said, he must be strong enough to overcome what happened. Chapter 59: Growing Up
"This is silly, Marc. Absolutely insane. What stupid person would do this? I don't even know if you'll come back, when you come back to Shanghai. We're not in a relationship. Shit, I shouldn't be like high school girl." Marc Junior laughed, his eyes twinkling, "You're twenty years old Hershey." "Yeah, so? I'll be twenty one in November. I'm old enough not to be making these mistakes." "What a mistake?" Marc Junior caught it, a pained expression in his eyes. Hershey put her hands to his face, sighed and then lowered them, her expression sad. "I'm not saying you're a mistake Marc. I just don't want to do something I'll live to regret." Marc held her hand to his face, "So, you think you'll regret this?" "Yes, it's too early, I'll regret it." She whispered. Marc Junior looked into her eyes again and said, "Why?" "Because, we're not together anymore. We're not in a committed relationship." "Who said we wouldn't be, Hershey?" "Well, we can't. You're going to Shanghai in a few week
