Chapter 81
"Across the seas is the destination yet we have to believe in ourselves and go forth to retrieve those seeds. In those seeds lies the real power" Goge said but the Prophetess who was not comfortable with that idea took Aromo aside and spoke to her."I know that we are good now and atleast I can call you a companion if I can't call you a friend..You know what I don't understand about these two that talk about a certain seed? They keep making us believe that this seed is able to fetch the young girl what it takes to defeat the one who sits on the throne of Akozo. Meanwhile I think there is more to it and that this has nothing to do with their desire to help humanity. We have to make sure that they don't lure us into a trap. What do you think?""I agree with you Miri. I can see in their eyes even though I couldn't read their minds, I could see in their eyes that they have alot of things to hide from us. Lume is only happy that she has her child back. Talk to her then" The Prophetess nodd

Having falling to the mud on the hill Aromo turned and said to the Prophetess, "I knew you didn't have the nerve to strick her to slumber but I did because I had the nerve. I can tell you aren't feeling well because of what just happened. Knowing you were so addicted to Lume and her child you shouldn't forget that what I did is for the good of the world""You speak this as if you care so much about the world. You did well I must admit it anyways" The Prophetess then walked up to Nimua who already was kneeling beside her mother who was on the floor and shaking her with tears in her eyes and held her up. Nimua refused to leave the presence of her mother but the Prophetess held her up and then said to Aromo. "You know where Goge and Arore spoke about. You know exactly where we are heading to if we leave here. You have to stay behind and ensure that the spell you casted on Lume wears off and maybe you will be able to convince her to join us in order to witness her daughter receive the see

Lume wasn't happy with where she found herself. She felt betrayed by the Prophetess and she sat down there and said nothing, after having heard all that Aromo had said to her, about taking her back to the land of Akozo where she planned to give her over to the Queen of Akozo, Samata. Samata went to visit a Seer who lived in the outskirt of her palace and when she got there she descended from the back of the dragon and then stretching forth her arm commanded him to fly back to the palace. The dragon hesitated for he couldn't understand why his Mistress would be telling him to return to the palace without her. However he had to obey and so he flapped away in the wind. Samata then sighed, looked towards the cave where the Seer nested and walked in. When she was inside she looked both sideways and then began to hear footsteps of someone approaching from the inner cave. It was the Seer. When the Seer came up to her and saw her standing there he stood and continued to stare at her. Shortly

Chapter 84
That hot afternoon, King Agor of Akozo Kingdom had just stood up from the bed where he had had a good time with his wife. He would go to the mirror each time he was done and his wife Samata would always stare at him, knowing that he wasn't satisfied with her, not unsatisfied of the sex he had with her but of the fact that she was unable to give him a child, "a daughter at least" as he would put it. She sighed and stood up to dress up. He wasn't saying anything to her and she didn't bother to ask for she already had the answer. She left the room and closed the door behind her. That same day she went to meet with her best friend and they both sat down to discuss. "Your husband isn't pleased with you. I can see it in your face" said Limo her friend."I have tried my possible best to hide it from you all these while but I just can't. He is angrier with me each passing day and I am running out of ideas on how to continue to make him put up with me in that palace. I don't want to loose my

The Seer stood there for a while before he then ushered them in. When they were in they sat down before he then sat. He didn't say a word first but the friend of Samata did."We are sorry to be troubling you in the hour of your rest. We are only concerned with...""Enough. Let the one who is troubled speak to me" Said the Seer and Samata began, afraid to reveal that the reason for her coming was because what he warned her about which she became stubborn about had begun to torment her."It's my husband" She said and waited to know what he would do or hear what he would answer, probably sarcastically but the Seer kept silent and waited for her to continue. "My husband the King of Akozo is on the move to marry another wife and make her his another Queen. I have come that you may help me and give me the advise that will help me in this situation which I found myself in. Please and please help me my mentor. I don't know what to do. I don't want to loose my husband. You know the story of ho

"You are a woman who has chosen to threaten me" said the Seer."I am a woman who has run to you many a times crying like a baby and asking for advise but I leave your home today a woman who is never coming back to cry over your shoulders but a woman who will show you that she can do whatever a man can do" With this she walked out followed by her friend Limo. When they got to Limo's place that night she sank on her seat and said to her friend Limo, "It is time to face my husband and make him understand that it's not my fault that I cannot give birth to a child. I will remind him of how I sacrificed everything so dear to me just to be with him. He will do well to remember and to stop treating me like an outcast"Even though her friend Limo wasn't quite comfortable with her idea to confront her husband the King of Akozo, King Agor she knew her friend Samata had reached that point where no one could be able to sweet-talk her out of what she had made up her mind to do. She then saw her off

"I said I don't want to be told this here" Samata was blinking severally to prevent tears from falling off her eyes. "Where else would you have preferred I told you this?" The King asked but Samata didn't say another word."You know what happens when a King decided to get married, he takes away the bed he gave to his wife so the wife gets herself another bed by herself. It doesn't mean we are not still married to each other, it simply means your right as the Queen of this land has been shared between you and another. I want you to think about this and get used to it." The King then dismissed everyone. Samata walked to her room and when she got there she couldn't control her tears any longer. She broke down in tears and cried like never before. Her tears rolled down her cheeks and she hit her head against the wall severally times. It was when she had walked to the mirror and looked at it that she realised she had injured her forehead against the wall. She wiped it off. Shortly her hus

That same day was the day the letter reached Samata and she looked at it for a while. As she stared at the letter she burst out laughing in frustration. Her frustration was too intense that she used her hand to shove the knife on the table and injured herself greatly. The blood from her hand dropped on the ground until it was time for her to stop laughing. She lost her husband that day, lost her mentor the Seer same day and now her best friend. She sank on the floor and refused to eat throughout that day. The next day she was informed that the new wife was visiting and according to tradition she was the first to welcome her. The wife will be getting married to the King in few days time and it was her first visit to the palace. When the lady arrived she was very beautiful in her dress. The Queen Samata stood on the gate to welcome her. She was being led in by the officials of her father. She looked kind and she respected the Queen so much, respect which Samata felt was being accorded

When the marriage was ongoing in the palace between the King of Akozo and his new wife Rimma Samata was in the forest and eating the meat she had killed for lunch. She had refused to attend the marriage but hadn't made up her mind to stay off the palace permanently. When the marriage was done and two days later she returned to the palace only to meet a new King; Agor, the King of Akozo had now become very cold towards her and hardly spoke to her. He was carried away by the beauty and the love of Rimma his second wife that he paid no attention to his first wife Samata. This did not trouble Samata at first as she had attributed his snubbing to her being absent in his marriage celebration but unknown to her that was not so. The King of Akozo had lost every interest he had on her and had vowed to stay far off her. But Rimma the second wife would not have it so. One night after Rimma had finished making love with her husband she sat up on the bed and while the King redressed she looked at

Even though they tried to make her see reasons with them she wasn't ready for that. She stood up after they had finished speaking and were waiting for her to say something. She walked to the door, opened it and ushered them out. They couldn't believe it. They left with mixed feelings. From that day henceforth Samata refused to attend palace meetings and to her official duties. This got the attention of one of the palace official and he went to her court to ask her why she decided to be far away from the affairs of the Kingdom. When this man was ushered in to stand before Samata she didn't want to say anything to him and the way she was looking at the man in the eyes made him loose balance. When he regained himself he spoke to her."I know you don't want to see me but the truth is that I would like you to come over and be part of what is happening in the land of Akozo. You know that the King..."Get out" said the Queen and she meant it. The man didn't want to waste any further time. He
