Her lips are pulled thinly, it's obvious that Christian's unpleasant exit hurt her deeply. She shuts her eyes, but she notices a warmness next to her, Angus is now standing by her side. "That fool messed up everything that we've worked so hard for." He sighs. "Yeah." She rubs her eyes. "But it's okay, we are going to recover." She opens her eyes to see, but he has his fix on her like he is trying to read her emotions. "It's not your fault, you know. Christian is just… he is not what we perceived him to be." "Well, maybe it is." She looks to the ceiling hopelessly. "I should have been more careful, I think I let him get to me." Angus puts his hand on her shoulder to comfort her. But Angus doesn't want to allow them into his house. He looks from his grandfather to Lorenzo, he feels the hurt of betrayal in his heart. He just knows that they haven't come with good intent. "No one told me that you were coming," Angus says, looking straight at Lorenzo. "Not even Joanna.""Yes, yes, Joanna has been occupied with running a few errands for me." Still, Angus doesn't open the door wide to allow them in. He doesn't want them in the house, hell he doesn't even want them on his property. "Why are you doing this?" He mutters. "You know she is in the house, you know that I haven't told her everything yet." "This is for the best, sir," Lorenzo says. "The master thinks it's what's best for you." "Shut up, okay." Angus snaps at him. "You are only saying that because he told you to. If you both need me, I will meet you in the office, at the house, anywhere but here." He's trying to convince them is not working either. His grandfather has his golden stick firmly on the

Now he turns to her, giving her his full attention. "This woman, who did you say she got married to?" Ashley scoffs as she raises her glass to her lips "Angus Knighton." She says. "She had no right, Angus is mine! I was with his stupid ass when he had nothing!"Greg raises his hand to the bartender and soon, alcohol is occupying the entire space in front of them. "Go on, honey." He moves a glass to her. "Drink as much as you want, it's on me." Ashley is too drunk to see what he is doing. She dumps her clutch purse and starts to drown herself in the drinks. Greg calmly waits for her to gulp down a few glasses with a small smile on his face. "So, tell me more…" he leans forward. "Good, 'cause I have been looking for someone to vent to for a very long time." She looks up to the ceiling with her drunk eyes. Maybe it's the alcohol, maybe it's the hurt she has bottled up for so long, but she starts to bear everything out to Greg. How she left Angus because he was poor. How he su

Angus looks down at the ring that his grandfather has given him. He tights his finger around it as he prays for strength to be able to explain everything to his wife. Matilda is standing behind him, he can feel her presence. He doesn't want to turn around to face her, not yet. He knows that she will be able to tell that he is hiding something from her. "Mister Randolf is a very intriguing, but strange man." She comments. "He definitely is." "Maybe he doesn't want us staying in his grandson's place." "He doesn't mind, trust me. He is aiming for something else." At his time, she pulls her eyebrows in a frown. "So, what's going on?" She asks. "He asked me a really strange question, what was he looking for?" Angus gathers his courage and walks up to her. He makes her sit in a chair in the living room and he says to her "You need to listen very carefully for this one." "Why, what's going on?" "You just have to make sure that you don't freak out, okay?" "Why would I freak out?

The silence is so deafening. Matilda, Angus, and Greg, just staring at each other. "Okay, I asked you two to sit down." Greg frowns. "Don't make this anymore harder than it has to be." He pulls out a gun and both of them recoil immediately. Matilda abandons her bag and she moves to take a seat, Angus does the same thing. "That's better." Greg helps himself to a seat too and crosses his legs in a relaxing manner. He looks around the house and puffs out air through his mouth. "So, Angus Knighton." Greg rubs his hands together. "Turns out that you are in fact Adam Randolf, huh?" Matilda winces sensitively. It seems like every time she hears that name, she remembers all the lies that Angus told her. "You know, I would have figured this out a whole century ago, but you were such a loser," Greg says. "Who would have guessed that you would be the heir of Mister Solomon Randolf?" Angus sighs and looks at the ground. "Look, Greg, I'm sorry that you were too daft to figure that out.

He doesn't stop, he doesn't care for any damn protocol, and he is not going to let anything happen to his wife. He gets to the huge estate gates and the security guard is at the front, looking at the car that is angrily coming at him. They are yelling, trying to flag him down. The doctor's face slacks in shock, but she recovers immediately and bows her head very deeply. "Forgive me, sir." She says. "I didn't know who you were, I would have treated you with more respect." Angus is not still used to people bowing down to him like this. He hates it, but now he knows that he has to deal with it. "I just need you to empty the hospital, just to make sure that my wife is safe." He says. "Close down the place and make sure that no one else is allowed in." She nods vigorously. "Certainly, sir. I will do that immediately." She rushes away to carry out his orders. Angus's eyes follow her as she leaves, he hears Owen chuckle behind him. "What's the matter, Master?" "I, um, I haven't gotten used to people treating me with such respect, I am used to being the loser in the room." Owens comes to stand by his side. "This is just the tip of the iceberg, my lord. Get ready for more."Angus looks at him, a small squint in the corners of his eyes. "You are calling me
