Even Ruby is shocked to see her. She freezes, but she recovers almost immediately and smiles to brush it off. “Hello, Adriana.” “You are in my office? What are you doing in my damn office?!” Adriana yells. “Oh, Adriana, don't get yourself too worked up over this,” Ruby sighs. “I'm not your replacement, I didn't take your office, I'm just here temporarily. You think that grandfather has taken my family back? No. He just wants me to work here so that I won't steal any money, like you did.” This does very little to convince Adriana that Ruby has not replaced her. Her chest keeps heaving and she wants to grab Ruby by her hair and fight her, jungle style. She would prefer anyone, even the homeless down the street, to take over from her, but not her cousin!
