The plot in "I Am The Luna" begins with Zaia receiving some exciting news: She is pregnant! Right after, Dr. Scott barges in with a file in her hand but is very hesitant to hand it over. After Jai's insistence, Sebastian opens the file and finds out that Zaia is pregnant with twins!

Zaia is weakened from her high-risk pregnancy, but she feels compelled to leave the pack either way. Fortunately, her mom managed to get fake IDs so that they could be accepted into another pack. This pack is the Whispering Mountain Pack, which rivals Sebastian's. She also learns that Sebastian is trying to locate her, but, regardless, she acknowledges there's no other choice.

Having been admitted into her new pack, she takes the name Zaia Walton and, while in the beginning she has problems blending in with the locals, she's eventually treated as one of their own and is employed at a small bridal boutique that, coincidentally, provides decoration to the Pack Hall every year.
