Author's POV
Nathan stood at the entrance of Gothern, his childhood home, after 15 long years. The imposing mansion, a symbol of opulence, loomed before him. He couldn't help but marvel at the transformation that had taken place in his absence. The once familiar facade had evolved into a modern marvel, a testament to his father's immense wealth. "Hmmm…" he smelled the fresh air that swept through his nose as a soft breeze blew. That didn't change. It was as refreshing as it had always been. The grand entrance welcomed him with sleek, automated doors that glided open effortlessly as he approached. The marble floor beneath his feet, once cold and uninviting, now radiated warmth with an underfloor heating system. Nathan couldn't ignore the lush scent of fresh flowers. How he missed the sweet smell of each and every one of them. Childhood memories returned. As he moved deeper into the mansion, Nathan couldn't help but notice the technological marvels that adorned every corner. Smart lighting systems adjusted their brightness to match the time of day, and the walls seemed to come alive with high-definition screens displaying breathtaking landscapes. His father had embraced the future, and Gothern had become a haven of cutting-edge innovation. The heart of the mansion, the living room, boasted a colossal, state-of-the-art entertainment system. Security had become paramount, evident from the biometric scanners at various entry points. Nathan couldn't help but feel a sense of awe as he passed through the building protected by fingerprint recognition and retina scans. It was a far cry from the simpler times when a traditional lock and key sufficed. Gothern had become a fortress of luxury and technology. It had always been luxurious, but this was different. His father's vast wealth had created a haven of comfort and sophistication. Yet, beneath the lavish exterior, Nathan couldn't forget the purpose of his return – a quest for revenge against those who had wronged him and the desperate search for his kidnapped daughter.. "You think you can just waltz in here lookin' like that? Trash like you ain't allowed in," the security guard barked, an air of arrogance surrounding him. "Hey. Is my father in?" Nathan called out gently. "Are you nuts? Did you get any glimpse of what I said? We don't allow trash in here. I don't know how you got past the gate, but you are not welcome here!" Before Nathan could respond, a sharply dressed young man, exuding an air of affluence, rushed to the scene. With an authoritative glare, he swiftly smacked the security guard across the face, not once but twice. "Know your place! Kneel and greet Mr. Nathan!" the young man commanded, his voice cutting through the tension. "But… but sir, he's just a.." The young man slapped the security again, this time, harder, sending his message across well. "You're standing before father's son. Are you crazy?! You are fired!" Stunned, the security guard complied, his arrogance replaced with a forced humility. "Please, I'm terribly sorry sir. Forgive my stupidity!" The security cried out. It fell on deaf ears. "Let him be." Nathan said calmly. "He's only doing his job. I was a security too." The young man then turned to Nathan, offering a sincere apology. "I'm terribly sorry, young master. Please forgive the inconvenience. Come with me." In stark contrast to the ill treatment Nathan had faced just moments ago, the young man, revealed to be Nathan's official Personal Assistant, guided him with respect and warmth. "I'm your P.A and guide, ready to assist you in every way. Welcome back, young master" he said, genuine enthusiasm in his voice. Nathan was truly overwhelmed with how rich a man can be. How much power he can posess! "Tell me, what is your name?" Nathan asked as they walked towards the main building. "Forgive me, sir. I am James James Arthur." He said professionally. Nathan despised that name with so much hate! "I'll call you Arthur. That's best for me." "Whatever you wish to call me sir! I despise the name myself." Arthur laughed and Nathan smiled. Finally, they reached the grand doors leading to the main house. The grand doors opened, revealing the interior of Gothern, now a multibillion-dollar masterpiece that left Nathan in awe. The sitting room that was once a testament to tradition, had undergone a breathtaking transformation. Plush, designer furniture adorned the space, arranged with meticulous precision around a cutting-edge entertainment center. High-tech gadgets seamlessly integrated into the room, captivating Nathan's attention. The walls were adorned with modern art, and smart lighting subtly enhanced the ambiance. As Nathan entered, he couldn't help but marvel at the panoramic view of the meticulously landscaped gardens through floor-to-ceiling windows. "Your father told me alot about you, sir. He said you'd be surprised at the change of the house. He did it all for you." Nathan traced his fingers over the smooth surface of the glass wall, appreciating the attention to detail that spoke of a commitment to luxury beyond imagination. "He's right. I am surprised! This is beyond my imagination. We don't get to see these much in my place!" Nathan expressed! "So, where's my father?" I finally asked. The young man's energy suddenly became low and his movement became more slow and subtle than before. "Follow me, sir."°°°°°°°°°°°° They soon got into a dimly lit cold room. The room was cold and a bit dark, but thanks to the blue lights, there were sights to see. Arthur walked gently to one end of the room where he pressed a rather strange red button. Suddenly, the ground almost beneath Nathan's feet shook as it split open. Gradually, a long box that looked like a coffin was brought out. The technology was surprising to Nathan. He was living in a village all this while, he thought. As the box unfolded, Nathan's breath caught. There, encased in a suspended animation chamber, lay…. his father. He gasped, but quickly maintained his composure. What?! Was his father.. "Dead?" "Not yet sir. Almost dead," Arthur replied, unveiling a tale of foresight. "You see, your father has always believed that you would return. He said that ever since his wife died, he couldn't carry the weight of his guilt and he couldn't afford to look you in the eye, so he simply stayed in his lane. He was diagnosed with cancer and had just a few days to live. On the last day, he told the expert doctors to freeze his body." This all sounded like a fantasy to Nathan. He just listened in awe. "He said that he must speak his last words to you and earn your forgiveness before he finally dies." Arthur, began some scientific mystique. Machines, intricately designed for the reanimation of frozen life, surrounded the suspended figure of Mr. Clifford Wade. Nathan, uninitiated in this advanced technology, watched in a blend of awe and apprehension as the devices hummed to life. Arthur's skilled hands danced between consoles, his movements deliberate and purposeful. The machines initiated a gradual awakening, coaxing vitality back into Nathan's father. The room echoed with the sounds of monitored heartbeats and the soft hum of technical apparatus. As Mr. Clifford Wade coughed and drew a slow breath, a paradox of emotions gripped Nathan. This was, to him, the most bizzare thing he had ever seen in his entire life. He was elated to see his father, but at the same time, he still hated the man. "Father. It's me, James Arthur. Your son is here. You can. Now speak to him!"Nathan's POV It was 7:49 in the morning. I had no sleep. My daughter was out there in the hands of unknown men and I was here in the luxury of my house, sitting comfortably. All through the night, I and Arthur planned the next day. Finding my daughter, avenging myself. No Alpha would sleep when a member of his pack goes missing, especially not his little cub. He would tear the world down to find that cub. I had my wound treated and my hair trimmed the night before. I was treated like a King. A fucking rich King. I quickly took a shower and got dressed. My room was heaven on earth. It was as large as the whole rooms in my old house combined. Besides the space in the house, everything in the house was automated, so there was little need for a maid. As I opened my cabinet, I was confused as to which cloth and shoe I should pick from. There were tons of expensive clothes and the most expensive shoes lying right in front of me. I stood in front of the grand, huge mirror as I
Author's POV Nathan sat calmly on his seat, his face covered with a black mask and dark shades. No one. Not even a smart person would be able to recognize that this was Nathan Wade, the broke ass cop. A tall muscular man got into Nathan's office and immediately lowered his head low to greet Nathan. "James Noah, am I right?" Nathan asked professionally. This was the first thing he was taught to do. Communication. Asking questions was the best way to display power as a CEO. Talk less, ask more! "Y.. yes sir. You're right. James Noah from the Kensington family." He answered Nathan very respectfully. He remained standing where he was. He probably was awestruck at seeing the mysterious CEO of Clifford's Arch Company popularly known as CAC Ltd. Seeing his body and hearing his deep cracking voice was enough for James. He didn't need to see his face to feel more than special. Very, very few people are allowed to see the CEO of CAC. "Take your shoes off. They may get my rug dirty!"
Nathan's POV I stood there, unsure of what to do. All I knew was that I was broken, broken beyond repair! That was my wife, the woman on whose finger I put a ring on. She was smooching and kissing another man. Was this all part of the plan? Coming to Laura's house to make love to another man? How long had she been seeing this his behind my back? I had many questions. She quickly jerked off when she heard her name. The man turned to look at me. The man was quite a muscular man. He has a perfectly shaped face and he looked very muscular. He… he looked familiar, like a celebrity or a popular figure. "Hey. Who's this? Did you order something?" The dude asked. Fuck! Was he referring to me as a delivery man? How cold and wicked could men be? "Cut it! That's my husband." Amanda said, feeling a bit of remorse as she saw my broken demeanor! She couldn't face me, but she wasn't really sorry. She stayed there in the same spot, allowing tbe fucking idiot to caress her breasts right u
Author's POV "Sir, are you sure of what you are saying? Cause yes, we could do it and in just 1 hour, Alfredo's company will crash!" Arthur asked, concerned. He was skeptical about his boss's request. But he had to obey at all costs, besides, it was payback time! Time to make sure the Alfredo's company pays dearly. It's been 7 days since Nathan Wade signed the deal go find his daughter. He had just three days left. The more time passed, the more depressed he got. He couldn't bear thinking of what could be happening to Clara at the moment. All he could do was cry and cry. Arthur did all the work! He kept seizing every opportunity to find Clara. He got calls from a lot of scammers claiming to have his girl! I mean, who doesn't want a $5 Million sent to his account? Added to his depression, his wife was getting married to another man. That was to him the biggest blow. He felt really dejected. Well, he was going to scatter the marriage. He would make Amamda pay! "Well, what do yo
Author's POV They arrived at Nathan's room with Nathan locking the door from behind not wanting any interruptions from Arthur. Nathan, with all the energy and anger in his heart, over to Abigail, sliding her arms around her from behind as he began the kiss from her nape then down her shoulder. Abigail chuckled at his desperation, taking forceful steps to reach the bed. She turned around facing him, the distance between them thin already with little to no gap spaced between them. She switched positions by grabbing Nathan's collar and pushing him to sit on the bed. Abigail's gaze at him lowered completely with a naughty smirk plastered on her lips as she went on her knees, her hand slowly unbuckling his belt before taking it off completely. Nathan's erected manhood that was repressed bulged out of his tight boxers. Abigail's lips and facials salivated at the length, he’s one big man down there. She won’t regret turning him to her puppet. She removed the boxer letting the di
Nathan's POV "The news has been confirmed. Just yesterday, three other kids were abducted. Maria of 14, Kate 12 and Alessia 8. Parents are strongly advised to keep an eagle's eye out for their kids, monitoring their every movement. "Schools will be put on hold until these mysterious men have been found. Stay tuned for more updates. This is April reporting from…" I switched off the TV. I should've switched it off way earlier than that if I had known that Clara was watching. "Daddy.. are the bad guys going to kidnap me too?" She asked with fear in her beautiful eyes. I sighed and then etched a warm calm smile on my face. "Hey, come, sit here with daddy!" I motioned and tapped the empty seat on the old couch facing the TV. "Sweetie. Remember who your father is?" I asked her, stroking her hair. "A police officer?" "Yes. That's right, sweetheart. Daddy will never let any bad thing happen to his girl. I promise. For now, you'll have to stop school and stay at home. And I wil
Nathan's POV I quickly hurried back to the car, tears already running down my hard cheek. Amanda stood there, her mouth opened as she was also teared up. "What… Nathan.. what just.." she stammered. "Look, I got everything figured out. Just get into the car now!" I commanded with no authority. I forced myself to believe that my daughter was safe and this was all just a minor case. "No. No, I'm not going with you. Never! Laura warned you." She cried out, walking back and forth, her hand placed over her head. "Look, everything is under control, alright. Just get in the car and let's head to.." "Head where? Look, I'm going to my mother's house and I'm not taking a single more step with you! Remember that we're only married in the first place because I had a child for you!" Again and again, my heart kept bleeding. Right before my eyes, Amanda boarded a taxi and zoomed off! "Ahh… fuuckkk!" I bashed my car steering. No matter how I tried to conceal it, I could feel my eyes b
Author's POV "My dad has more cars than your dad, Oliver!" Mia, the youngest kid said. Oliver argued back, "Well, my mom has lots of super fancy shoes, even from Paris!" Emma, stood up and raised his shoulders up, "You two are losers. My dad has a plane, and my mom has a big boat. Top that!" He boasted proudly. "But my dad said I would take over his company when he's gone. His company is huge. I will be the boss and make everyone bow down to me!" Oliver argued, seemingly jealous of the rest. "Why does Clara never show up? My mommy said her daddy is poor and locks her in a prison!" Mia recalled and giggled, arranging the scattered toy house. "That is true. My daddy calls her father a rag. He's a broke officer. Haha!" Emma laughed scornfully like he had an in-depth idea of what he was saying. °°°°°°°°°°°°°°° The conference room was quiet. Everyone was either chained to their phone screen or their laptops or making calls or reading books or… Amanda sat there uncomfortably.
