Vera looked at him hesitantly but nodded.

"Thank you," Larkin said, smiling.

"About the troublesome spirit..." He began.

"This spirit has been known to possess those who are still living; he's kind of like...an outlaw of sorts in the spirit world, so to speak." Larkin looked at Vera as if to make sure that she was still following along.

"W-What can I do to help...?" Vera asked.

Larkin closed his eyes and gave a smile.

"Ah..." He looked at Mim and chuckled nervously.

"W-What is it?" Vera looked at him.

"He can cause great harm if he possesses just the right person," Larkin paused.

"You may or may not be aware, but your ability permits you to...get rid of him, so to speak."

Vera looked at him.

"H-how do I know that I can trust you...how do I know you're not just saying this...?"

Larkin shrugged.

"I suppose that's fair… I wasn't the most trustworthy during my time spent alive."
