Mike Taylor alighted from a car in front of Loretta’s restaurant and made his way in.

He wrapped his arms around Sylvie when he got to them. “Darling.” He pressed a quick kiss on her hair, flashing a smile at a tear faced Loretta.

“Mr Taylor, we agreed not to-” Loretta was cut off by Sylvie.

“Darling, when are the men going to be done?”

“Very soon.” Mike replied, as one of them approached him. “Go into the kitchen and take out all the large equipment, we need to clear this place for my fiancé.”

His words sank into Loretta’s head with chilling horror. “What did you just say?”

Sylvie put up her best smile possible. “Dear cousin, I’m taking over this place in 3 days, so I want it fully renovated to be a beauty salon.” She clapped her hands excitedly. “It’ll become one of the best in town, don’t you think?”
