Heavy tension hung in the air when Aleena finally left.

Wayne turned to face Loretta. “Loretta, please don’t be mad, there's a reason why I can't say what happened on the 5th of November.”

“It’s okay, Wayne. I totally understand you.” She muttered, looking straight into his eyes.

Instead of the helplessness she saw earlier, she saw determination and anger.

Loretta raised her hands to his cheeks. “What-?” She wanted to ask, but Elsa rushed in.

“Daddy, Mummy, what’re you doing?”

The both of them sprung apart to face their daughter at the door.

She thought they were in an embrace when she dashed in.

Loretta was still in a daze. “Baby, what’re you doing here?”

“I’m gonna be late for school, Mummy! You and Daddy can hug later!” Elsa whined.

She rushed in to grab both their hands and pulled them out.

Wayne only smiled and followed his daughter’s lead.

When they got to the car, he sent a quck message to Mark before pulling out of the garage, on the way to the Kindergarten.
