Smash Your Wrist to Pieces!

“Mr Sidney is here.” Ashton hurried to inform them.

“The Brooks’ private butler is here?” Gary gasped in amazement.

The Brooks were the 1st most powerful family here in Las Vegas. The patriarch, Alex Brooks was a very hard man to please.

The Moore's had been trying to make deals with him all to no avail, but now he's sending his butler over.

Gary was so excited that he momentarily forgot about Wayne, making his way to the front door, his mother and others trailing behind him.

"Hello, Mr Sidney. It's nice to have you here!" Gary greeted the man enthusiastically like they'd known each other for years.

“I would have prepared a grand welcome for you if you'd informed us that you were going to attend my party, sire.” Anna added with a wide smile.

“I'm not here to attend your party!” Sidney lashed out at them. “I'm only here to deliver these gifts sent to Miss Moore.”

“What?” Everyone was stunned.

“Mr Brooks asked me to deliver these gifts personally.” Sidney added, gesturing his men to bring them in.

It amounted to several wooden boxes and gifts wrapped in fancy wrappers.

Gary couldn't believe his eyes, not only was Sidney here to greet them but to ask for Loretta's hand in marriage.

“Loretta!” He called out in excitement. “Come over here and see what good things had been brought for you!”

Loretta hurried over and was shocked when Sidney handed her some documents. “These are the certificates of transfer of ownership of 10% shares of WilMark Estate Company to you and your daughter.”

“What?”

“These boxes are filled with money, designer clothings, jewelry, perfumes and all sort of accessories as well, we hope you like it.”

“Huh?” Loretta looked to her uncle for an explanation. “What's-”

“You daft girl! Is that how to appreciate someone for giving you gifts?” He scolded her profusely, then faced Sidney. “I'm sorry sir, my niece can be shy at times-”

“I'm sorry, I won't be able to accept these gifts.” Loretta cut Gary off with a loud voice.

Everywhere fell silent and at that moment each member of her family cursed her silently.

“Why, Miss Moore?” Sidney was quite taken aback.

“I have no idea why Mr Brooks sent this, so I can't accept it.”

“Shut up! You idiot!” Anna lashed out at her, rushing forward to plead with Sidney. "Sir, you know she's still a child. Thank you very much for the presents."

“Alright.” Sidney had no other thing to do there, he'd delivered the gifts just as his boss asked him to. He didn't care if she accepted it or not. “I'll take my leave now.”

“Yes sir. We will consider your proposal and hope to work with you in future!” Anna flashed him a smile, gesturing Gary to walk him out.

When they left, she turned to smack Loretta on the face. “How dare you?"

“Grandma?” Loretta staggered backwards, her face turning red from the force of the hit.

Wayne dashed out of nowhere to help her regain her balance.

“You!” He charged at Anna but Loretta held him back, signaling him with her eyes to let her handle it.

“Grandma? Why did you slap me?”

“Because you're plain stupid!” Anna was red in the neck.

“You and your father have always been useless, but now that you're finally becoming useful you want to sabotage it? How dare you sprout such nonsense in front of Mr Sidney?”

Loretta was shocked. “Was it bad to reject his gifts when his intentions were unclear?” She asked, her voice trembling.

“How can you be so dense, Loretta?” Aleena shot herself forward to stand beside Anna.

“Mr Brooks son, Kyle must have taken a liking to you and want to get married to you, that's why he asked his father to send those gifts!”

“What?” Loretta gasped. “If that's the case, I'm glad I rejected those gifts cause I'm currently married!”

“You're married?” Aleena asked in disbelief, wishing she could smack some sense into Loretta.

“To this man that disappeared two weeks after your wedding and brought a lot of disgrace on this family? You're really going to throw away such good opportunity because of him?”

“Aunt, I have a child for my husband, so it’d be better you reject those gifts right now. Besides, isn't Kyle the man that got on the news lately for impregnating three women at once?”

“As long as you're his legally wedded wife, none of that matters, Loretta. You better hurry up and get a divorce.” Nikki scoffed, coming around to inspect Wayne with disgust.

“This good for nothing disappeared for 4 years and returned empty handed expecting to have his wife back. Pfft. What a joke?”

Other women butted in. “Loretta, do you know how juicy this offer is? Don’t be too dumb for a low mechanic!”

"Do you think this loser would be able to maintain your beauty? Or he would be able to afford quality living for you and your daughter? You might end up starving to death!"

“Grandma?” Loretta looked to Anna for some explanation.

“You’re gonna get a divorce right away, Loretta.”

“W. . .Why should I?”

“Because Kyle Brooks is interested in you!”

“Aren’t you tired of being wife to this miserable loser? Ever since you got married, you have never lived a life of luxury. Now that Wayne’s here you can get divorced and marry someone else.” Anna patted her granddaughter on the shoulder lovingly.

“Grandma, I can’t believe this. You forced me to get married to him 4 years ago just because his parents were rich and now that he returned from a near death experience, you’re castigating and mocking him cause he lost everything?” Loretta said, stunning everyone into a weird silence.

Gary returned just then. “Mum. How should we take care of this punk?”

Anna eyed Loretta. “You said you would do anything for me to let Wayne go, right? Will you sign the divorce papers?”

“What?” Loretta’s eyes widened in horror.

Wayne held her by the shoulders. “Calm down, I‘ll take care of everything.”

She looked back at him in panic.

“Grandma, please. How can you say such a thing? You can’t force me to get a divorce with Wayne, what of Elsa? How would she live without her father?”

Anna ignored Loretta’s rants and beckoned the guards over. “Make him kneel right now!”

“Grandma, please!” Loretta shrieked, falling down in front of her. “Please don’t hurt him!” She screamed but Gary came forward and pushed her off.

“How dare you lay a hand on my wife?” Wayne shrilled, taking aggressive steps forward to grab Gary’s arm and twisting it.

“L. . .Let go of me!” Gary shivered in fear, the pain in his hand becoming more unbearable.

“If not for the fact that you’re her uncle. I would smash your wrists to pieces!” Wayne threw Gary backwards with such a strength hat amazed everyone the room.

The chill in his voice and the look on his face was terrifying.

“I see you’ve grown stronger. Let’s see how string you are to face these me.” Gary got up, turning red in the ears, wondering the audacity in which a mere son-in-law could humiliate him.

"What the hell are you waiting for?” He hollered at the guards. “Break his bones right now!”

“Stop!” Loretta screamed, scrambling to go meet her uncle.

“Uncle, you can have all the money and things in those boxes if you let Wayne go!”

Everyone was stunned.

“Wait, Loretta. Were you thinking we would not take our shares out of it?” Anna gasped in disbelief.

“I’ll also consider Kyle Brooks when he comes to ask for my hand in marriage, Grandma, please.” Loretta added.

Wayne dashed past the men surrounding him to meet her. “You didn’t need to do that, I can defend myself."

“How would you face these men on your own?” Loretta whispered worriedly. “You should leave now that Grandma is considering it.”

“Wayne?” A deep voice suddenly called from the door.

A tall muscular man stood at the door, casting fierce gazes at all the people in the room.

Compared to Wayne, he had a little more muscle and seemed stronger but they were still on the same height.

“Don’t tell me I missed all the fun?” He rushed to stand in front of Wayne, cracking his knuckles with a wide grin.

“Which of them dared to touch you, let me break their wrists off!” He demanded with a menacingly malicious voice.
