AN ACCUSATORY GLANCE

"Jasper, why do you look so disoriented? Do you know him?" Penelope asks scrupulously, an ominous feeling creeping up her skin.

"Do I know him? Hah! We are in deep trouble!" Jasper exclaims, shuddering. "It's not just about Deathpool but his backers! Deathpool is a subordinate of Black Dragon and Black Dragon is a subordinate of Mr. Lorenzo Capone, the Mafia boss! Ah! That man wasn't lying when he spoke about his master's backers! We are dead meats!"

"What?!" The gravity of this revelation leaves the others frozen in shock, their expressions a mirror of horror.

But not caring about their expressions, Jasper hurriedly continues, "As much as Deathpool might have previously been cautious not to provoke my family, the situation has shifted. By challenging him, we've disrupted that equilibrium. And considering he's backed by forces that could destroy my family if they so desired, he has little reason to hold back any longer. We need to leave! Like right now!"
