"Enough!" Infuriated, Brian slams his hand on the table. "Are you guys in a restaurant or a war front?" He roars, his gaze sweeping over both Isabella and Avery. "Hah!" He grits his teeth, giving them a cold warning,

"If any of you say one more provocative word to the other, I'll get up and leave. That is a promise!" Brian's voice is so cold and ruthless that Avery can't help a chill running down her spine.

"Uhm," she gawks at him. This is the first time he is getting angry at them. She is so terrified. And this is not just because of his anger but because of his warning. If he leaves, who would foot the bills?

She quickly says calmly, "Calm down, Mr. Martinez; it hasn't gotten to that."

"Hasn't it?" Not minding her identity and his pretence to be a cool-headed gentleman, Brian retorts, shooting her a cold glare. "You two are grown-ass adults, yet you bicker like kids; what the hell is wrong with you?"
