Edith knows the reason behind Layla's question but she still chooses to feign ignorance as she retorts, "Layla, I'm your aunt. You know me so well, when have I ever put up an act? She puts on an aggrieved expression, seemingly on the verge of tears.

Looking at her aunt and observing her ridiculous performance, Layla can't help but snort, even chuckling wryly. Her aunt is such an amazing actress. With her acting skills, she is sure she could easily win an Oscar.
