Instead of waiting around while the old man explained whatever, Adrian walked away and glided into his office with grace. He sat down on the reclining chair in his office, his head relaxed on the chair as he strained his ears to listen to what was going on outside. He could hear more words than he'd expected, it was still early in the morning and customers weren't that much yet.

“What do you mean?” He heard Sandra say, and he couldn't resist and his lips curled into a smile however he quickly stopped smiling. He didn't need to show his contentment for the current situation. He needed to act like he was busy so he started to flip some documents in front of him in readiness for their entrance.

“I said, kneel and apologize to him if you are interested in keeping your job,” the old owner said, his tone laced with urgency and fear.
