Adrian and Adeline immediately rushed out of the office. They needed to get to Hargreaves and tell her everything immediately. After discovering that Dr. Huns was actually trying to kill Desmond in the cell they were so troubled that they became instantly restless. If they didn't do anything about it then Desmond was going to lose his life.

Adrian wouldn't allow something like that and that was why he needed to tell Hargreaves as fast as fast. He trusted her that she would be able to do something about the situation since she was more influential than him and even had more experience in this.

"I can't believe Huns can go to this extent just to become a board member," Adeline said to Adrian in the car. "I mean, this is really shocking to me."

Adeline had always thought that Dr. Huns was only holding Desmond in a cell just to use him as a bargaining chip. He thought that Dr. Huns had wanted to use Desmond's release to secure the position of board member. But now that Adrian had told him

Blinks got up from his chair immediately after receiving the call from Adrian and he began to dress up, he needed to head to bed holding cell. He knew Adrian was a very meticulous person and he probably had been thinking about the whole situation for a long time and if he drew that conclusion, with the little time he’d known the guy he was completely right. He put on his all black suit and put on a bullet proof vest. He then clicked three buttons on his wardrobe and the wooden structure flipped backwards to reveal a rack of guns. He picked up two Glock 9s. He then fitted it into their hostlers. If anyone was going to try and take out a man as powerful as Desmond, they were probably in the cell with him beforehand or it was the police trying to serve him poison. Either way he needed to be ready. He brought two painkiller syringes. A bottle that contained neutralizers for multiple poisonous toxins and he also picked up two daggers, in case he needed to fight without making a sound. He

Adrian hung up the call and glanced at the two women in front of him. “How safe is this place?” He asked. “What do you mean?” Hargreaves glanced at him with raised eyebrows. She looked at him with scrutiny. “What did they say on the phone?” She added.Adrian sighed. “That was Blinks, he said he’s been held down at his house, It seemed Huns had sent a kill squad after him,” He deduced and then glared at all of them. Hargreaves looked at Adrian for a while before sighing. “As Huns completely lost his mind?” She said angrily. “He doesn't act this way, something… something is wrong, really wrong with him. He has always been ambitious, but not this brazen, even at his lowest he respected us. He respected that bond we had,” she explained. “Maybe he feels betrayed now?” Adeline asked. “He expected you all to stand up for him and you didn't, could that be the reason he is a little angry now, I mean I would be mad if I felt my friends betrayed me,” she explained but quickly moved closer to

Blinks entered into the car, breathing like a dying horse as Adrian zoomed off at maximum speed. “You were planning on running to the station?” He asked the bodyguard but the man was so out of gas he couldn't reply for the first few minutes. “Yes,” he answered at last. “I didn't have another car, they blew up my new one,” he explained. “You do know you owe me a car after this right?” He explained. “How are you doing Adeline,” he then asked in a genuine tone. “Are you okay?” He asked. “Yes, definitely,” she replied. “Just a little jittery,” she nodded. “My life hasn't been in this much danger before I encountered the two of you. It is scary and exciting,” she laughed as she said the last word. Adrian could sense that she was actually a little happy about her situation. He couldn't really understand why, and neither could he dwell much on it, he was driving at almost top speed in a lambo. He needed all of his focus. “You like this?” Blinks however voiced out Adrian’s thoughts. The g

Adrian has never been in a shoot out and he wasn't about to risk his life in one. Anything could happen, a stray bullet, a misfire, a last shot from an injured man. Bullets do not care about who one is or their status. He had already been hospitalized once due to poisoning and he wasn't ready to visit the hospital again.“You stay here young master,” Blinks said with a very serious tone, Adrian had only seen him this serious only one other time and it was when someone tried to kill him by blowing up his car. He glanced backwards with a smile and rushed out the moment the other man stopped shooting. He hid against the rear of their bus and began to unlock the van’s rear door with a pin. Mr Shin took one glance at him and nodded. The board member was holding a normal sized pistol with a silence struck in front of it. He pointed the gun towards the front of the van and shot the guy with the AK with relative ease. The man dropped to the ground as a bullet was now sunken into his knee cap

Adrian stepped into the bathtub and he could feel his entire body straightening as he did. He sat inside it, just relaxing. He placed his head against the edge of the tub, which was padded so he could rest on it. He never imagined that he would be enjoying himself this much. He didn't want to think about anything that happened today. He just wanted to rest his head and think of small things that didn't matter, so he picked up his phone and called his mother first. It's been a while since he heard her voice. He called the woman and when she picked up a smile spread on his cheek. He was happy to just hear her soft voice.“Hello,” she said in a sleepy tone. “Don't you sleep on that side of the world anymore?” She asked in a hoarse tone. “We do, I am so sorry I woke you up, I wasn't thinking, I just wanted to hear your voice,” he explained. “Well you did,” she smiled. “Don't apologize, I have been busy here, there has been a lot of work at the hospital,” she said. “Tell me about it,”

Adrian and Adeline finished eating almost at the same time and they lifted the plates to the family’s kitchen. When they got there, they saw that there wasn't any dish left undone so they decided to do the dishes right away. It was actually the first time both of them will be alone together since the events of the day.“Are you okay?” Adruan asked Adeline. “Yes, I am fine,” she nodded. “I am still a little jittery,” she replied. “Yeah, that is normal,” Adrian chuckled. “I have been trying to get my mind off everything since I arrived here, I think I might have even slept in the tub,” he smiled.“Oh, the tub was so relaxing, it was like a mini jacuzzi,” she smiled and closed her eyes, dreaming of what happened there.Adrian looked at her. “You know you don't always need to do this right,” he said as she loaded the dishes into the dishwasher and pressed them. “Do what?” She asked. “I think we both agreed to do the dishes?” She looked at him in a confused manner.“I am not talking abo

Adrian woke up the next day feeling refreshed, he didn't know how long he slept but the rays of the sun woke him up. He glanced up and checked the time on his phone after he’d just stared at the wall for a few minutes. He discovered it was already ten in the morning. He sighed and walked straight into the bathroom to get his shower. The room he’d slept in was the same room he bathed in the other day. So he was so happy when he saw the relaxing tub again, it was like old friends meeting each other. He hurriedly sank into it and just rested his head for a while before even trying to start his day. He closed his eyes and he dozed off once again. He woke up an hour later and couldn't believe he was this tired. He washed himself and dried off before wearing one of the casual clothes in the wardrobe. He walked out of his room to the living room only to meet the boy, Alex. He was at the computer, scrolling and reading something from it while reading slowly and quietly, sipping coffee from

Adeline nodded and then the discussion began for real. “We need to link Dr Huns to the crime, so does anyone have any idea how to do that,” Blinks asked, already fed up that both of them had issues to sort out.“We just need to call Lady Hargreaves, she was going to meet him yesterday,” Adeline said and Adrian sighed. He’d completely forgotten about Hargreaves, even though it was her car that was parked inside Mr Anthony's compound. “Oh, that's true, you all said it yesterday,” Blinks confirmed. Everyone on the table then glanced at Mr Anthony who nodded and picked up his phone dialing the woman’s number. He stood up from the table to take the call and everyone else ate silently as Mr Anthony talked to the woman on the phone. Adeline glanced up after a while and then glanced at Adrian. “Can I ask you a question?” She glanced at him.“What question is that?” He demanded. “Why are you so important?” She asked. “What's that supposed to mean?” He replied with a matching energy, he did
