If you’re reading this now, I’m already far from this world with no particular destination. Maybe I’m jailed, tortured, or killed, but for sure, I’m already dead. But for those three that had been punished for entering the forbidden radius, this is for you, especially my daughter and Holessa. I started this letter right before the start of the crisis but later finished it after the war. I hope you’re with me until the end of this page.
Silvestre is my friend, a long time since our teenage days. Unlike me which is the total opposite, I was amazed at how he reads people. That’s the reason why I approached him and we become partners in crime. It didn’t end in a proper conversation, but we avoided a long-term accident that saves most of the Oak Spirit. That’s how we became very close like we treat each other as brothers because honestly, he wants a brother and not a sister.
He always tells me how he like
Holessa wakes up at the boundary where they parted ways with her family. She’s lying on the ground while her head rests on Adeline’s legs. Walter is also beside him standing as he looks down at her lying body. Holessa intensely stares at the two while the two wrinkle their eyebrows.“I’m sorry, Holessa. I shouldn’t have hidden the truth from you,” Adeline cried with her tears falling out continuously out of worry. Holessa stands upon herself from Adeline’s lap while ignoring their worries. When Adeline stands up to ask her what’s wrong, Holessa slapped her in the cheeks with the anger she gathered.Adeline’s face reddened as it swings together with Holessa’s palm. Walter’s eyes widened after seeing such an unpredictable event, but Adeline already expected it, accepting herself as the medium of her anger, but Holessa’s anger is far more than what she knows.“IK that you’re still a
It’s already the same time since Holessa ran off the ruined haven, Argos continues to search for clues about the connection of the Elder Flame Dragon to the Phase Powder. Like what Quimora did, he follows the trails of Gredsyg’s darkened blood right before it dries out. It’s real that she predicted the hundred-meter trail, but the path goes off when he noticed himself in the middle of a ravine. The elevation of the surface is not that far from the ground, but the lower levels consist of mushrooms, vines, and roots. Above him are wood logs that form a bridge between the two earth gaps and block the light coming from above. There’s no other direction but to go forward, down the deeper slope. He continues to search in the same direction until a warning shot nearly hits him. Lately, he noticed the same explosive sounds and pellets that are used in the planted trap. There’s no denying that Quimora went towards where he will go.*Does that h
The ravine closes at a certain point when the ground above them meets, therefore forming an underground cave underneath it. The entrance is perfectly in a triangular shape formed by slanted pillars or huge boulders surrounded by vines. The smell of cold stone scatters in front of the entrance while Argos walks through it.“Caves again!? How much does Aleiya’s father love caves!?” Without hesitation, he enters the cave. The route he’s walking to is a narrow path with only patches of light from the holes above the ceiling. The silence harmonizes with the squeaks of bats and the echoes of his footsteps from the slippery ground.“STOP RIGHT THERE!!” A voice shouted in the deeper parts of the cave. Argos wanders around for people after he thought it was him but no. The conversation continues to an unrecognizable murmur of three people. Argos quickly goes deeper into the cave while maintaining his silent walk. When he reached an undergroun
“Sorry, one escaped, nya!” A person who is 5’ 1” in height and is wearing a blue witch hat said with a tiny female voice.*Nya!?* Argos winks one of his eye out of annoyance.“Goddess Quimora? I thought you already departed?” She asked but maliciously stares at Argos after. “Who is this unicorn-wannabe here? Is he your boyfriend? Are those two courters as well but get rejected?”*Goddess?* Argos thought.“Tsk…” Quimora clacked with her clenched jaws as she looks away at her. Suddenly, the little witch kneels and bows down in front of her with both of her hands on the ground.“My apologies, goddess! Please reconsider my application. I won’t ever kid like that again,” the witch cried with a stooped down position facing the ground while pointing her body at Quimora. The confusion made Argos tilt his head slightly to the side.“Evince you
“Ah, this? This is free at the thieves guild,” Alex answered as he looks down at his clothes.“What!? Really!?” Argos flinched back after a shock. *I skipped the tutorial goddamnit.*“I did know that you’re not an enemy since we entered, but why are we here,” Alex asked out of confusion.“This is what negotiation looks like,” Argos said with a smile.“You’re crazy!” Zak exclaimed with a high-pitched voice.Argos looks up at the light holes and speaks. “It’s not night yet, and this place is dark. Not only bats would live here, but also phantoms as well. If you don’t hear of them, they’re the monsters conquering the forests at night. Your hungry bodies will be their food, sliced into bits where every part of you, even your blood, will fit their stomachs. If you don’t want to stay here, I think it’ll cost you a lot.” *I made this up on the
“But thank God, we’re spared,” Alex said with a deep sigh of relief.“How can you explain us being healed? Did you find it unbelievable too? We both fainted near our death back there,” Zak asked.“Just be blessed that she still has some kindness. If I didn’t request for it, you’ll be skeletons,” Argos said.“What are you, chicks?” Zak argued with a raised eyebrow.“Maybe she really did, but it might be that she realized that we’re players too. As players, we should be considerate of each other. I wanted to apologize to her because of the misunderstanding,” Alex said with a down-turned face.“If you do, nothing will change. Anyhow, can we stop these pitfalls of assumption?” Argos said and puts out a dagger. Zak’s face turned pale after seeing the sharp whoosh of its edge. He thought that he will be killed because they didn’t satisfy them, but
Argos’s mouth falls open after reaching the visible site. He gasped with his bulging eyes while he stares incredulously at the state of the campsite he didn’t expect. His heartbeat starts racing while forming the weights on his stomach. By that time, he already lost his thinking. All of the camps are ruined. Some of the tents are still burning, but the rain helped redden the fire just before it scatters more. There are no signs of people nor breathing life around their view. The smell of burnt wood radiates up to their place. The only thing they can hear is the heavy drops of rain mixing with his loud breathing heterogeneously. The first that comes to his mind is checking everything. He rushed towards the site and checks every ruined tent while screaming “Is everybody here!?” with his tears hidden by the rain. While the two confused followers chase him, he throws out every debris from the camps fallen down the ground. His heart beats fast that i
“I’m going to talk to Holessa,” Argos shouted with clenching jaws as he stands tried to walk out of the tent, but a grip stopped him.“No…” Walter said while holding Argos’s arm with full force. Argos tries to escape his grip but Walter puts his full force on it. “Do not ruin things now. You do not want more of this to happen without you, right?”“This is not purely anyone’s fault. This is all my fault,” Argos shouted with his teeth grinning out of struggle. “If you want me to get her side, then you should let me now.”“Please Argos, not now. Without knowing everything, we might end in a pitfall,” Walter said with trembling hands that radiate through Argos’s arm. “This is everyone’s fault, and I’m guilty too, so please don’t blame only yourself. It’s also my fault that I followed Adeline without me thinking of the consequences. It
