“Um… nothing. I just, um, you know, I was there when the Sun Brothers chased Enique out of the office like a child. You… you should have seen the look on the poor guy’s face. He was crying like a little baby!” Gary said, ensuring his smile was wide enough for comfort.

At that, Donald flared up. He got up from his seat and rushed to Gary. He grabbed Gary’s shirt by the collar and was about to land a fist on his jaw when Madam Ann stopped him.

“Wait a minute. Did you say you were in the office? The Sun Group company?” Madam Ann asked.

Gary kept his cool, gently shoving Donald away. “You heard that right, mom. And oh, those dudes, um… yes, Kevon and Devon. They bowed to me, you know. I mean, I was surprised myself. Anyways, they said they would consider my plea and save your asses.” he ended, wiping one dish after the next.

Donald wanted to laugh at Gary’s trashy words as he would always do, and so did Williams. But this was not funny. Gary was becoming too confident, more confiden

Quickly, Serena ran up to him and bowed to him, handing him his exclusive suit to put on. Then, she walked up to the police officers. “Good job. But next time, don’t you dare lock the cuffs on his wrists, not even if he asks you to!” she said to them and turned around to leave. Gary sighed. He breathed heavily, embracing the new, fresh air in his car, a sharp contrast to the stinky, harsh perfume from Kage’s body. “Master Wang. You should not go through all of this stress, my lord. I mean, you can eliminate the entire Lancasters, the Howards, and any other person who displeases you. You have all the power now, Master Wang. That is the least of your worries.” Serena said calmly, adjusting his tie. Her voice was as smooth and creamy as fresh honey from a bee hive. Gary turned to Serena and smiled. “You look pretty today,” he said casually. Serena blushed, her cheeks turning red. “Um… thank you, Master Wang.” “How is my grandmother holding up?” he asked. Serena nodded, wondering w

Blackgold Refinery wasn’t just another company; it was a cornerstone of the Wang Imperium, a behemoth in the crude oil game. And Gary needed to make sure it was running clean. The car eased out of the city, leaving behind glass towers for sprawling industrial yards, where pipes coiled like snakes and smokestacks exhaled slow, heavy plumes into the sky. Blackgold loomed ahead—steel and concrete, all muscle, built to last. At the gate, the guards straightened up the second they saw the Rolls. Eyes wide. Hands tightening at their sides. Yeah, they knew exactly who was coming. The guards scrambled, their hands fumbling with the controls, the gates creaking open slowly. It was a massive automated gate. Not even the most skilled thief would be able to penetrate the massive metal. Gary stepped out of the car, his suit catching the sunlight, his face calm but his eyes sharp, scanning the yard like a hawk. Workers in oil-stained overalls stopped what they were doing, their tools clatterin

“Where is that sound coming from?” Gary asked Serena, who also had no idea. “M.. master Wang,” the old man began, lowering his head down as if in sorrow. “That is not a new thing, sir. Every day, those little kids are flogged. They are not allowed to rest; unlike me, they are not even paid. They are slaves and little children who…” Without waiting to hear the whole story, Gary stormed off, walking like he was heading into a war zone. Serena trailed along, and his security guards too, armed for any curveball. ‘Slaves?’ ‘Little children?’ In his company? Finally, after sourcing for the sound, Gary got to a bunker. The door to the bunker was shut, and the guards were fast asleep, bottles of beer lying around on the floor. This irritated Gary to the core. Whatever was inside of that bunker, whatever he was going to meet, had already piqued his curiosity and anger, but seeing the lazy men called guards sleeping on-site only made his blood boil hotter, like a pot left too long on the s

The boardroom at Blackgold Refinery was a sight—big glass windows letting the sun pour in, the light bouncing off the polished table, making the whole place glow like a fancy showroom. But the mood inside was anything but bright. It was thick with greed, the kind of air that stinks of dirty money and dirtier plans. In the boardroom sat 12 of the upper echelons, men who literally controlled Blackgold. They were dressed sharply in suits that cost more than most folks’ cars, golden watches flashing on their wrists and cigars smoldering in ashtrays. But their laughter was rough, their words sloppy, like they’d already had too much to drink even though it was barely noon. “Look, we are here for a meeting and not to get drunk to stupor,” Daniel said, laughing out loud as he gulped down another bottle of Hennessy cognac. “Look, we have to celebrate this big win, dawg. We talking 500 fucking million dollars sliding right into our pockets. This is good money, oil money.” Mike added, adjus

  • A Man Called Revenge   Chapter 28: Kage Howard

Kage Howard smoked the last pipe of his Gurkha Royal Courtesan cigar and squashed it into the ashtray. Then, he grabbed his shades and slid them on. He got out of his car and began to walk majestically into the building. All eyes were on him. Unlike Enrique, who was also a hot bloke, Kage was ten times more powerful. His father, Mr. Howard, was not a figure who rolled with top dogs. He was a top dog himself, and his son was only a representation of him. He strolled into the reception area, ready to meet with Kevon and Devon. Now, the Howards and the Sun Brothers were dragging a spot for the top, but the Sun Group was winning; they never lost to the Howards Group. One time, the Howard family made a wrong investment and went bankrupt. In order not to fall off the market, they decided to sell their shares. The Sun Brothers were quick; they offered to buy 51% of the Howard family’s shares, but Mr. Howard immediately declined. He was not going to share his firm with his competitor. He

“Enrique Lacanster was here yesterday. He came with a proposal to be handed the entire construction project of your new building, but you refused to hand it to him. Not only did you refuse the Lacansters what they are fully capable of, you also terminated their current contract.” Kage said. “Of course, Kage. We could have done more, maybe kicked Enrique Lacanster into prison for greed, but that would be a waste of time and resources. Is this why you are here?” asked Devon. Kage gritted his teeth, his breath more shallow than before. “Of course. That is why I am fucking here. I am here with a proposal. Hand over the entire project to the Lacanster family, hand over the papers right now, and I take it to them. They will handle the roofing, the flooring, the structure, the entire construction from teeth to feet.” Kevon smiled slightly. His smile was diabolic, but it was calm and calculated. With one glance, the brothers could read a person's whole, telling who a person truly is and a

Devon then got up. “Consequences have their actions, Kage. You called us names, insulted us, and disobeyed our orders for anyone never to bring up the Lacansters name through that door step. Therefore, we’re done here,” Devon said, his voice still calm, but it carried a weight that made the air in the room feel like lead, heavy and suffocating. He stood tall, his diamond watch catching the light, his blue eyes cold, unblinking like a predator who’d already won the hunt. “You can take your 50 million and shove it, Kage. We don’t need your money, and we sure as hell don’t need the Lancasters dragging our name through the mud again.” Kevon leaned back in his chair, his diabolic smile still in place, his fingers tapping the table slow, rhythmic like a countdown to Kage’s doom. “You heard my brother,” he said, his voice smooth, almost playful, but there was a blade hidden in it, sharp enough to cut deep. “The Sun Group belongs to Master Wang now—100% of it. And let me tell you somethi

“Impossible. You can’t be! We cannot have a new boss. Sir Harold died many years ago, and his son, the heir, was never found. How did you even get into this…” Carl’s words got caught up in his throat as he saw Serena walk in, two guards trailing behind her. Instantly, all twelve men stood up with a unanimous “Greetings, Miss Serena!” Serena walked gently, her tablet still tucked under her arm, her heels clicking softly on the carpet, each step steady, like she was walking through a garden instead of a den of snakes. Her face was calm, her eyes sharp, scanning the room like a hawk, taking in every sweaty forehead, every shaky hand, every wide-eyed stare. The twelve men stood stiff, their chairs pushed back, their voices still echoing from their greeting, but the air in the boardroom was thick, heavy with fear, the kind of fear that makes your knees weak and your mouth dry. Gary stood at the head of the table, his black suit sharp as a blade, his hands in his pockets, his eyes bur

The guard smirked, arms still crossed. “No card, no dice, lady. Keep it up—makes my day watching you flop.” he seemed to enjoy ravishing in his power. The crowd erupted again—shouts, curses, fists waving. Someone chucked a water bottle, and it bounced off the gate, splashing Gary’s shoes. He wiped his face, calm as ever, but inside, he was done warning. They wanted to rant? Fine. He’d let ‘em crash and burn. He took a breath, voice steady but loud enough to carry. “Mom, I’m telling you one more time—stop this. You’re kicking a hornet’s nest. Harrison Wolfe don’t mess around, and he’s got no love for the Lancasters. You took his project, and he’s pissed. We need to go home, get an invite card, and—” “Invite card?” she laughed, a nasty, guttural sound. “I don’t need no damn card, you idiot! I’m Madam Ann Lancaster, the Sun Group project manager! Wang Empire’s got my back now! Wolfe’s gonna kiss my ass when he hears my offer—materials for his next big build! These guards are just too

  • Chapter 52: "Shut Up, Loser!"

Gary was used to the slap. He was used to getting slapped, even in public. But he genuinely didn’t want to see Madam Ann get hurt or any of those people at all. Despite being an alpha male who exerted cold-hearted revenge on his enemies, Gary cared so much about people. But if they couldn’t see it, he let them suffer the repercussions of their stubbornness. So, he yelled, “Everyone, please listen to what I have to say.” As soon as his voice was heard, everyone turned to look at him. At this point, they were interested in anything anyone had to say. They needed a saviour. Seeing Gary, his dressing, his appearance—they doubted if he had some real solutions to their problems. But they still gave it a shot. His beat-up jacket hung loose, his shirt wrinkled from yesterday, hair a mess like he’d just rolled out of bed. He didn’t look like money or power—just some guy off the street, same as them. No, way worse than them. “Listen,” Gary said, voice loud but steady, cutting through the sh

“What is the problem, Mom?” Gary asked hastily, hearing his mother sceaming from the other end of the phone. Yelling at someone or something, he wasn’t sure. She was a yeller, if that’s a word. “Get your ass down here, Gary. I can’t get hold of either Williams or Donald and these fucking people won’t let me in!” Madam Ann roared. “Which people?” “I am at Titan Forge!” she snapped, her voice sharp enough to cut glass. “You know, the big dogs in this city! I’m here to talk business, and these idiots at the gate are acting like I’m some nobody! Get over here now!” Gary rubbed his temple, phone pressed to his ear, already feeling the headache coming. Titan Forge—damn, she picked the worst spot to flex. The biggest construction and materials empire in the city, maybe the whole damn country. Run by Harrison Wolfe, a guy who’d chew nails and spit bullets, and his right-hand psycho, Victor “Razor” Slade. Those two didn’t mess around, and Madam Ann had no clue what she was stepping into.

  • Chapter 50: A Timely Reminder

The next day, Gary woke up a little later than usual. He barely slept. He had spent the entire night working on reviving Blackgold, reviewing applications himself, and recruiting new employees. He was doing a clean sweep, and Blackgold was now checked, done, and over with. Next, he had his next firm to visit—his clothing and textile company brand, Aureum Crest. It was a sleeping giant his father had built from the ground up, hidden under proxies and shell companies, ready to stitch his name into the world’s fabric. It was going to be a long day. But first things first. He needed to see his grandmother. He rolled out of bed, still in yesterday’s wrinkled shirt, hair a mess, eyes bloodshot but sharp. The room was a dump—peeling wallpaper, a cracked mirror, a mattress that sagged like his old life. The Lancasters kept him here, in a kennel for their dog, but he didn’t care. This was camouflage. In contrast, the bedroom in his mansion alone was the size and luxe of the entire living r

“I will speak to Miss. Serena, mom. Let’s hope she listens to me this time. But if you turn your backs on me again, whatever happens to you will be on your head. I am a nobody, but I know just how to figure out my way.” Back inside the hall, Serena Voss took the mic for a brief announcement. “The initial announcement was a mistake. We meant to say, Branstad, ex-governor Branstad no longer has any dealings with the Wang Empire. As for the Lancaster, they retain their $450 million signed contract.” The crowd gasped, whispers breaking out, heads turning fast. Madam Ann’s eyes widened, her voice a shaky whisper, her hands trembling. “Gary… you… you did it?” Gary nodded, his voice soft, his smile small. “I told you, Mom. I’ll help—on my terms.” Evelyn stepped closer, her voice a whisper, eyes wet. “Gary… I… I don’t know what to say…” Gary looked at her, his voice low, his eyes steady. “You don’t have to say anything, Evelyn. I gotta give it to you, you’re good.” His men smirked, their voices low, their heads nodding. “Yeah, boss, that’s a good one! Fake as hell!” Felix turned to Gary, his voice a growl, his smirk wide. “Now, let me warn you, punk—I’m the governor’s son. You don’t mess with me and walk away. I’m gonna enjoy breaking you down!” Gary stood there, his voice soft, his eyes steady. “I told you, Felix. One call. Your father’s done.” Felix laughed again, his voice hard, his hands on his hips. “Keep dreaming, man! You’re just a nobody trying to act big! Everyone froze, heads whipping around, eyes wide. Gary stepped forward, his face hard, his eyes burning with rage. The simple suit he wore drew a stark contrast to Felix’s wealth, but he did not care. He could buy Felix. The crowd nearby gasped, their whispers buzzing, their eyes darting between the two men. Felix’s grip on Evelyn’s wrist tightened, his eyes narrowing, his voice a low growl. “Who the hell are you to talk to me like that?” Gary didn’t flinch, his voice steady, his eyes locked on Felix. “I’m the guy telling you to back off. She said no. You deaf?” The crowd’s whispers exploded, their gasps loud, their eyes wide. No one talked to Felix like that—no one except the Wang Empire. Madam Ann’s face went pale, her hands shaking, her voice a hiss. “Gary, you idiot! Do you know who he is?!” William and Donald stepped closer, their faces red, their voices low. “You’re dead, Gary,” William growled. “You just signed your death warrant.” Felix let go of Evelyn’s wrist, his eyes

His eyes stayed locked on hers, sharp and unyielding, like a predator sizing up prey. Evelyn couldn’t meet his gaze—her heart raced too fast. Her mind was still a mess from the chaos her family had just dragged her through. Felix was a tall, dark figure, his presence heavy, his tailored black suit screaming money, the gold watch on his wrist flashing with every move, worth more than most people’s homes. He stood with his hands in his pockets, his jaw set, his aura cold and dangerous. A diamond-encrusted pin on his lapel caught the light, a silent flex of his wealth, a rem
