EPISODE 18 - Character Development

I've been getting along fine with the protagonists thus far. I've been making considerable progress.

"But Slice-of-Life isn't usually meant to progress but only to make laugh, relate, and develop characters. I can't have that. I need to force character progression. But how?"

12:00 NN, Lunchtime

Ring. Ring.

The school bell rang.

All five of us protagonists head outside of the classroom.

Hara sighed while walking in the hallway.

"The cafeteria's kinda boring... I have an idea!"

"Let's hear it," Arata replied.

"Let's go to the rooftop!"

"But isn't the rooftop prohibited to be entered by students?" Yoshida questioned.

"Quiet," Ishimoto replied.

While they argued, I was thinking.

Hara looked all around to confirm that no one was eavesdropping on their conversation. Next, he whispered, "That's exactly why. There are no people there, so it's perfect."

"But what if we get caught?" Arata queried.

"We won't," Hara insisted.

"Sounds sketchy. Let's do it," Yoshida resp
