"What was that about?!" Shuuta asks Hanako; his curiosity exploded after encountering a cultist maniac, and a blonde dude with powers.
"What's a Mystic exactly?"
"Where to begin with..."
In the old times, Mystics are super-humans tasked to abolish all evil in the form of spirits, demons, and angels. Such powers were granted by the gods and devils to stop one another.
"I guess that's a very compacted summary." Shuuta laughs at how short her explanation was.
"And you're one of them!" Hanako exclaims while keeping her smile
"WHAT?!?! FOR REAL?!"
Blood almost oozed out of his mouth from Shuuta's shock; he can't believe that he was a motherfucking badass "wizard."
"Why are you surprised…you were going toe to toe with that man." Hanako's brow began to burrow.
"With great power comes great responsibility! I shall save thy world from all evil!" Shuuta reveals a brave smile and a powerful pose.
Hanako just frowns at him; his speech, his voice, and even his poses are lame.
"In any case, you haven't even unlocked your Magic, so...you have a very long way to go! Do your best! And…don't forget to protect me." Hanako's face reddened, and she shifted her gaze away from the badass wizard. Shuuta even got startled by her bashfulness.
That is soo cute!!
"I'll do my best if it's for you, Hanako-chan!" Shuuta responded with his utmost honesty, and thanks to that, Hanako almost fainted from her emotional instability.
"Hanako-chan!!" Shuuta went for a hug but was instantly rejected because Hanako became transparent; Shuuta passed through her, face planting the concrete floor.
"That's not fair!" His wine almost seemed childlike.
He stood up and gazed around, after 5 long seconds he realized that Hanako disappeared, she had probably gone home!
He can't believe that Hanako ran away err...flew away!
Shuuta still felt mesmerized; reality just broke his worldview, Magic exists! This fact was eminent now! Screw my old boring life, hello new life!
But many questions still roamed Shuuta's mind; what kind of power does he have? How can he find out? When will he find out? His excitement kept growing exponentially.
"I can't wait! I need to work hard for it."
"I will protect the world from calamity." Shuuta posed imposingly as he spoke in a fervor way.
With all his excitement bubbled up, Shuuta made his way back home to start a barrage of questions at Hanako.
...
"Huh?! What do you mean you can't tell me anything!?!?" Shuuta's face dropped, and his spirits also died out.
Why is Hanako being stubborn, didn't she say that I must protect her?
"It's not that I don't want to tell you; I can't tell you. You need to find the answers by yourself!" Hanako exclaimed.
Yep! She's stubborn, alright!
"Come on! Just tell me already! I'm doing this to protect you and myself from evil Mystics!" Shuuta couldn't think of something to say.
"T-to protect me?" Hanako blushed intensely,
"Of course! From the first time I saw you, I-I don't know my emotions anymore. When I see you, I feel at ease, especially when I'm around you. I always get that urge to protect you, but I don't know why."
This is his first time confessing...not! He's grinning a little bit; his intention should be obvious.
"Really?! I-in that case..." Her face turned red like ketchup.
"You're way too easy..." Shuuta murmured to himself, his face berated and cold.
"Umm...one way to unlock your power is by wanting to protect someone when they are in danger."
"One way...so there are multiple ways?"
"Yep! But I won't tell you more."
Tsk.
Suddenly, Shuuta's eyes flashed.
"Oh god...why am I suddenly feeling hungry...I guess I'll take pudding."
"Hey!! That's mine!!"
Snap!
Shuuta takes a pudding and starts opening it; the overwhelming scent of vanilla, sparkly texture, and suitable size made Hanako hungry again.
"Umm...can I please have one more..." The little winning girl stared at Shuuta in the eyes; like a sad cat, her eyes sparkled brightly.
Shuuta instantly turned around to avoid her trump card; it was very effective.
"Mmmm! It's so delicious!"
"You tease! Fine, I'll tell you another way! But please give me another pudding!"
"Sure here." Shuuta tosses a pudding to Hanako.
"Yay! Okay, another way is danger."
"D-danger?"
"Yes, danger...the feeling of death lurking around, trying to survive something might activate your powers."
"Oh, I see." Shuuta felt helpless; he doesn't want to get in a dangerous situation again, or at least not yet, he needs to unlock his powers first, so that way isn't going to cut it.
"Thanks for the food!" Hanako instantly devoured the pudding.
"Thanks for the information! It was beneficial." Shuuta inwardly sighed. 'Not really, but, I guess.' He stood up from his foam floor and went towards his bed.
"I guess I'll hit the old sack, goodnight Hanako." Shuuta sighed inwardly once more and blacked out.
...
Yaaaaawn!*
Shuuta woke up; his vision was a bit blurry and couldn't make out his view, but weirdly he felt heavier for some reason; he uncovered his blanket, and his head exploded in shock, Hanako was on top of him, but that wasn't all! She was wearing only undies!
Shuuta became red beet! The feeling of Hanako's body gently pressed against him; a soft yet supple feel poked his chest, with a gentle warmth radiating from her. If this went on for a bit longer...something terrible could happen!
'Crap! Crap! Crap! She smells like petals, and she's so soft! Please, little buddy, don't raise. I know that she's hella cute but don't raise now!' Shuuta is trying to keep his composure.
Rustle*
'Gaah!! She's moving!'
Hanako spontaneously shifted her body and made way for Shuuta to escape.
He instantly jumped out of his bed and sighed.
'I thought I was going to die!' Shuuta then contemplates Hanako's beauty. It's unbelievable; he's rather astonished, the fact of her being a ghost made Shuuta bitter…for no reason whatsoever!
He can't believe her, why did she sleep with him?! It's been 2 days since they met each other and now they're sleeping together, what kind of situation is that?! Well, he can't complain because he likes it; having a cute girl...a cute ghost sneak up on you while you sleep is the boy's dream...right?
In the end, he dressed up, washed his teeth, ate a sandwich, and left for school.
"I'm leaving!" He exits his home and walks through a long sidewalk.
His life is getting weirder and weirder as time goes on; he doesn't mind though, who wants a boring high school life? He wants a more action passed and romantic life, and it seems going that way.
"Thank you, god, for this amazing gift!" Shuuta smiles at the sky and keeps going his way.
Suddenly something felt odd. Shuuta sensed being followed, he put no mind to it, but it was creepy nonetheless, anyhow; he finally reached the court entrance and walked in.
Finally, the creep came out and ambushed Shuuta, giving him the scare of his life. Shuuta's voice cracked up almost as a girl would.
"Relax, it's me, Hikaru. I didn't know you were oblivious!"
"No! It was obvious; it's just that I didn't expect you to jump out like that!"
"Yeah, sure!"
Shuuta then proceeds to inspect Hikaru, last night was dark so he couldn't make Hikaru's face, but now...his handsome face makes Shuuta's face twitch, his well-combed hair and his blue eyes, his sharp nose and well-shaped body; could give envy to any other man that passed by him, he also realizes that he's wearing the same school uniform that Shuuta has.
"You attend this school?" Shuuta asked with curiosity in his eyes.
"Yeah, it's my second year though," Hikaru responded with a carefree smile.
Shuuta finds himself shook; that makes him his senpai! He doesn't want to call him Hikaru-senpai because it's embarrassing; if it was a girl, then it would have been alright for him, but a man...
What kind of pride does Shuuta have?
"You might as well call me Hikaru-sen-" Hikaru gets interrupted by Shuuta before he could finish his sentence.
"I refuse!"
"Huh? Why?"
"Aren't we supposed to be rivals?!"
"....I guess you right...Shuuta-kun. Hehe."
"Well that's settled, now excuse me. I must go to class before-." Just as Shuuta turned away.
"Wait." Hikaru tugged Shuuta, with a firm grip.
Shuuta remained staggered from Hikaru's action. 'Yo…I don't swing that way dude!' Shuuta tried to organize his thoughts, but out of the blue.
Hikaru tilted his head to Shuuta's ear and whispered: "Here's some advice as a fellow Mystic, if you say any word that we exist, I'll have to kill you. Keep that in mind; you're one of the only Mystics that I've met out of the school so far, so please don't make me kill you." Hikaru had a contoured face that turned tender after speaking.
"Y-yeah." Shuuta nods awkwardly; Hikaru then departs afterward, waving back at him.
Shuuta immediately sighed after that, he was rather confused, a handsome boy turned into a cold murderer in 3 whole seconds, only to switch back into a warm kind boy.
He probably has a switch or something cause holy hell!
Nonetheless, after some seconds of thinking, he made his way back to class because he was taking his time; in other words, he was going to be late.
Finally, arriving at his class, Shuuta sat in his seat and rested his head on the desk.
For some unbeknownst reason, he felt fatigued, like if something sucked off his energy, he couldn't help himself from napping.
His eyes closed, drifting off into the abyss.
...
"Huh? Where...?" His eyes opened up glancing at a room that was massive and very well decorated, like an old European castle.
Rattle*
"Master!" The sound of a screechy girlish voice shouted in concern.
"Shuuta-sama!" Another girl shouted worried.
"Shuuta-Kun!" A well-known voice screamed for him.
"Shuu-Kun!" A gentle but clear voice yelled, worrying for him.
"Shit-Kun!" A rather tsundere and mature voice hooted for his well-being.
"Shuuta!" A sweet voice yelped for her savior.
Cages, many cages were hanging from the well-built ceiling, a red carpet stretched across the vast room, at the end of the carpet he saw an entity.
A dark grin appeared on such an entity, menacingly glaring at the stunned boy.
"You're here. Shuuta. I was expecting you."
Many demon-kin surrounded him, hundreds...no, thousands of demons were closing in on him, he didn't know what to do, it felt like a lot was missing, he gazed back at the girls but couldn't see who they were, it's not because of his distance, they were black! Like an unlock-able character of a game.
The only visible girl was Hanako; astonishing enough, he recognized voices too, but some he couldn't realize who they were.
"What the hell is going on?!" Shuuta yelled; that only sentence roamed his mind, he wanted to wake up but couldn't, or rather he didn't know how to.
Finally, a demon got close to his face and battered him across the hall into the big doors tearing through them; when Shuuta landed; blood left his mouth.
"That hurts!" Shuuta couldn't bear the pain; his actual body hurt, and even blood started dripping from his nose in the real world.
He slowly stood up feeling powerless, can he really kill demons without his Magic? Gnashing his teeth, he glared helplessly. "Is this it? Is this how it ends? I couldn't even unlock my powers...I'm sorry Hanako." A tear splashed on the wooden floor.
But, just as things were getting better, his friend Kazuma woke him up in time.
"Shuuta, are you okay? You have a nose bleed...were you thinking perverted things?" Kazuma chuckles with a smirk plastered on his face.
After waking up, Shuuta felt dizzy. His body felt heavy. His stomach had an unbearable sensation of pain; he unbuttoned his school shirt and saw a big bruise painted on his stomach.
"What...?!" Shuuta's vision faded gradually, and he fainted on his desk.
"Shuuta? Shuuta!" Kazuma then proceeded to shake him, but to no response; he even saw the bruise, but what could he make of it? As his best friend, he asked for help and got sent to the infirmary with Shuuta.
...
"Again?! What did that Mikazuki do this time?!" The nurse yelled in anger.
"Ummm...actually, he just passed out, he was sleeping when I arrived, I just woke him up and started bleeding from his nose, when he woke up he looked weaken, he then checked his stomach and had a big bruise." Kazuma tried to explain the best he could.
"What? That's strange...after waking up he checked if he had a bruise? Was it because of sleeping? No, I doubt it...could it be..." The nurse got lost in the forest of thought.
"Mmm...Noara-san, I'm going to leave, I need to go to class...please take care of Shuuta." After that, he waved his hand and left the nursery office.
Noara then inspected his bruise; she was shocked! It was big! So big! It looked like a fist...whoops, words!
It looked like the shape of a fist; she realized that it wasn't a normal bruise. Something huge struck his guts to leave a mark that big.
"Are you...." Noara suddenly got interrupted by someone knocking on the door.
Come on in!
A blonde lad entered the room; it was Hikaru.
"Hikaru? What business do you have with me?" Noara asks patiently, as she inspected Shuuta's abs.
"I sensed a dark aura nearby, it led to him." Hikaru's statement shocked Noara furthermore.
"Wait. So he's a Mystic?"
"Yes, he's a good guy, so please take care of him." Hikaru then was about to leave but got stopped by Noara.
"Do you remember when you had those visions? Before the Mazumi incident?" Noara asks with a light on her pink eyes.
"Yeah...why?" Hikaru answers with a perplexed look on his face. 'Mazumi…'
"Remember the damage that you got? You only got cuts and a small bruise."
"Yeah, what about it?"
"Well, have a look at this."
Noara showed Shuuta's bruise to Hikaru.
Hikaru was left speechless; his eyes bulged wide in shock.
"Is that his first vision?" After Noara said that, Hikaru looked back at Noara with a somewhat concerned face.
"I don't know, but I recently met him, and he did act like he didn't know what a Mystic was." Hikaru told himself, reassuringly enough it was his first vision, "If his first vision was "like that" then he had a big possibility to die from it."
Noara remained quiet, only to break it by looking excited.
"If he succeeds on the other hand...he'll be the one to change Mystic society as we know it!" Noara was astonished; there was a time when almost the whole population was a Mystic; the chances of a mythical level appearing were the same as finding a phoenix bird or winning the lottery.
"This guy..." Hikaru's smile broke down, he met an incredible guy, but he doesn't know what to make of it.
"Hikaru, as your Mystic branch vice-leader, take care of him. Having him in our branch will boost our rank." Noara instructed, that if he succeeds, the society of Mystics can definitely change dramatically.
Finally, Shuuta woke up, and both Hikaru and Noara gazed at him.
Shuuta sat up and placed his palms on his eyes; his head felt like blades were piercing him.
"You good? Shuuta-Kun, what happened?" Hikaru sat on the bed next to him.
"I had a dream...I don't know why but…I felt rather sleepy, so sleepy that I passed out, but then...I was surrounded, there were thousands of demons, A demon king, and a bunch of girls in a cage." Shuuta is trying to recall everything that happened.
"Then what about your bruise?" Noara curiously asks.
"I got slugged by a demon and was sent flying through some big doors...It was a big room, like a castle." Shuuta suddenly feels as if his head wants to explode; he clutches his head as if his life depended on it; he even howled in pain.
"Demon king? A castle? Don't tell me...." Hikaru is left speechless once more.
Shuuta glances at Hikaru's expression; he can tell that this is bad; he's probably in great danger.
"You're a carrier!... I can't believe it, Shuuta you have the power to slay deities!" Noara excitedly says that Shuuta was a miracle, but she knew that he still hadn't unlocked his powers; she will do whatever is necessary to help him.
"Carrier?" Shuuta suddenly felt a flash of pain on his skull, a quick image of a person smiling warmly flashed in his eyes.
"Hold on...What happens if I die in my dreams?!" Shuuta is now really concerned.
"You die," Hikaru replies.
The atmosphere changed after that comment. Shuuta can't believe it; supposedly, he has great power but has a big flaw; Shuuta's death can prevent his knowledge.
"Nonetheless, I'll gladly help you out with the dreams but on one condition." Noara smiles coyly.
Shuuta smiles wryly and nods, knowing that something was not right.
"You're going to..."
Shuuta almost tore his lungs from squealing the word 'What,' even some students were able to hear such a scream...wondering who the idiot who yelled was. "I respectfully decline!" Shuuta stood up from the bed and bowed at Noara. Noara, on the other hand, placed her right hand on her tiny mouth and started chuckling uncontrollably. "Dummy! That's if you want to! But no, that isn't the condition." Noara was still laughing at his reaction; in all his years of taking care of students who were hurt or sick, all had been very lustful or rather reserved, but this boy here lightens her mood by a lot. A slight grin paints her face. 'I will never stop teasing you...' Shuuta sounded off a loud sigh of relief. "My, my...you hate Mikazuki that much? That makes me sad because we're sisters, are we ugly?" Noara kept a coyly smile; she makes her way to Shuuta and pointed at his chest,
At lunchtime, Shuuta and Kazuma both went to the cafeteria; Hanako followed behind Shuuta, poking his sides and messing around with him. Kazuma glared confused, those little jumps that Shuuta did were creepy. While eating, they both were reticent; it was disturbing for them; Hanako was sitting next to Shuuta and was just shifting her gaze at Shuuta and Kazuma. 'Should I just go for it..? Ugh this silence is very loud!' "Do you believe in ghosts?" Shuuta finally killed the silence. "Uhh...I guess so, why do you ask?" "I'm sorry for lying, I'll tell you the truth." ... "So you were talking to a ghost?!" Kazuma responded with an excited voice. "Yeah, her name is Hanako." "Her? It's a girl?! Lucky you!" "Hey! She's listening!" &nb
Everyone was shocked; the president just declared a duel against a first year. The room remained silent, tension had built up, pressure and nervousness also began to rose, and the cafeteria itself was in a glued state. The white-haired loli then disrupted the silence, tugging Shuuta's shirt from his well-shaped back. "I'm sorry for getting you into all this...and I wanted to kill you myself..." the loli bows as an apology. Shuuta pops a vein on his forehead. "What if I refuse then?" "I'll just kill you right here Shuuta." "If I agree I'll die anyway!" The blonde boy had a grin on his face, nodding haughtily. "You b*tch." Shuuta glared at Hikaru; he can't believe him. Wasn't he a phoenix feather or a lottery ticket? "I'll show you that
Shuuta couldn't believe what Hikaru forced him to do... He was wandering around school looking for prez's office, currently, he was being ogled by every student that came across him. Some whispered others snapped a pic, most cackled under their breath, deepening Shuuta's mood into an abyss hole of embarrassment. "~Kukuku~" A sweet giggle made Shuuta lose his head, and with a sudden turn, he scolded her. Only to embarrass himself more than he needed to. "Who was he screaming at?" "I don't know…he's probably missing some screws." "I agree sis, let's not mingle with him." Shuuta had a mortified face after hearing their banter. He had to deal with Noara's sexual harassment and verbal abuse; she beat Shuuta's butt in training. He finally f
Void, Shuuta's body hovered in the abyss; nothing was apparent, nothing was audible, and not a slight of anything was there. A smog lurked in the shadows, and a red-blackish mist drifted imperceptibly towards Shuuta, taking over his body and possessing him. "Huh? Did he stop breathing already? Boring." The pervy-looking girl wined. The demon girl then gazed at the shuddering Kurumi; her hands were shaking. Her eyes had lost all hope. She tried to run, but her slim legs gave up, making her petite body punch to the ground. "It seems you're the weakest of the bunch, why are you even here little girl..." Her eyes pierced through her heart, leaving a deep impression on Kurumi. "Hikaru...Shuuta...." Kurumi couldn't even talk anymore; fear completely took her over. "Then perish little morsel!" The erotic demon lurched aggressively, pointing her sharp cla
Hikaru felt weak on his feet; his heart started to pump faster, his body trembled in sadness, and he bathed in sorrow. He gnashed his teeth, only to darken his face. "Lies..." He paused, only to repeat but louder, "LIES!" "You better start saying your farewell to that girl, there's no way in hell she'll survive." The demon started to laugh frantically. "I'll kill you!" Hikaru choked the demon to death, casting holy light on his hands, her body pulverized, disappearing into nothing. "Asmodeus...? That name...I studied religion, my mother forced me to...I recognized that name, it's one of the seven princes of hell...so he's real?" Shuuta was shuddering in his shoes. He understood that Mystics were an out-of-world entity, but he never thought hell existed; he mulled it over and realized heaven also existed. If that's the case, then God exists, and da
Every morning it's a hassle for Shuuta; he must deal with Hanako's stickiness, Yuri's needy behavior, and Noara's abuse. Though he felt at ease, being surrounded by outlandish girls was a gift! God's plan to be precise. Only someone was missing. Kurumi, the murder loli. 'I haven't checked on her...I hope she's alright.' Shuuta contemplated the horizon. Currently, he was in class, gazing through the window, watching the birds fly, and the clouds disperse as he kept his glance. It was scorching outside. Shuuta pictured Hanako in a bikini splashing water at him. Kazuma watched his good old pal drool unconsciously, only to jeer at him with a smile. "Pervert stays a pervert..." Kazuma murmured to himself, in the old times...middle school to be precise. Shuuta would enter the girl's bathroom...not by accident, to peek, not just that.
After eating and going back to class, he went to P.E., back to the warm embrace of death, but this time she was more reserved; she was avoiding everyone that came close to her...girls were the only exception, Mikazuki would always reflexively throw a haymaker by accident if a guy got close to her...That damn Noara taught her that 100%. Shuuta wanted to talk to her, but he was concerned if he was going back to the infirmary or not. "Screw it, I guess I know how to block a punch now..." Smiling wryly, Shuuta decided to get close. "Shuuta, where are you going? Let's play basketball!" "Just give me a second Kazuma, I'll be back in a jiffy." Kazuma decided to look where and what he was going to do, resting in a wall. "Hey, Mika-san how are you?" "Kyaaa!" Swosh! A knuckle came directly
"So, how did it go?" Kakoyo's voice held a tinge of irritation, her impatience evident. "It went really well! We had a lovely date," Yuri responded, her words carrying a hint of wistfulness. "At least, it felt romantic to me..." Evidently, Hikaru, Kakoyo, and Yuri had conspired to create a storm of plans aimed at easing Shuuta's stress and bringing a smile to his face. Their scheme involved taking Shuuta out on a date. Of course, Hikaru wasn't tagging along; the date was to be shared between Kakoyo and Yuri. The two engaged in a fierce game of paper-rock-scissors to decide, and the outcome was Yuri's victory. "He does seem happier," Hikaru noted, casting a glance back at Shuuta, who was in the midst of performing his thousandth katana swing. Each swing was a testament to his dedication, honing his technique under Kento's guidance and infusing his attacks with newfound power.
The night enveloped the city, casting a shroud of darkness upon the bustling street. Pedestrians hurried along, undeterred by the cold. The corners of the avenue echoed with animated chatter. Illumination flowed from ornate lamps, painting the entire street in a warm glow. Stalls were scattered across the area, creating a vibrant atmosphere. Amidst this scene, a young man with crimson hair found himself captivated by the ambiance, transported to feudal Japan. Guards adorned in Yukatas and armed with ancient katanas patrolled the area. The women, all dressed in a variety of Kimonos, added a touch of elegance with their diverse colors and shapes. Shuuta was keenly aware of the exquisite craftsmanship in their clothing, hinting at its luxurious quality and perhaps hefty price. Shuuta shook his head, reminding himself of his purpose. He wasn't here for leisure or shopping; he had a mission to accomplish.
Shuuta couldn't bear to hear Hanako's agonized screams without taking action. He felt an overwhelming sense of powerlessness washing over him as he sat on a cliff beneath the sheltering branches of an ancient birch tree. His back pressed against the gnarled trunk, he released a sigh laden with concern. Moonlight bathed the scene, casting reflections of his own sorrowful state. The haunting echoes of Hanako's cries seemed to reverberate within him, etching pain deep into his tumultuous soul. "His heart is faltering..." Kakoyo's gaze fell upon Shuuta from a distance, a silent observer of his turmoil. Unbidden tears welled up in her eyes. Hikaru, resting behind a tree, broke the silence with a somber tone. "What should we do? It pains me to see him like this... it's a stark reminder of my mother." Yuri's resolve shone through as she clenched her small fists against her chest. "We must be his pil
Shuuta readied himself, his eyes fixed on his father as he prepared to unleash his mana. "My son, I'll teach you a passive skill that can transform you into a formidable Mystic. As I mentioned, it makes you unpredictable and dangerous. [Sense Danger]. This skill can shift the balance of a battle significantly. And the best part? It's costless." Shuuta's ears perked up at this, his eyes sparkling as he exclaimed with a joyful tone, "Wait, it's free?! That's awesome!" Abaddon raised an eyebrow, his gaze focused on his son. "Why is he so thrilled?" He shrugged off the thought and continued inwardly. "Doesn't he realize the true price of a passive skill?" "Get ready, Shuuta. I'm about to flood you with Mana... just try not to pass out!" Abaddon ascended a few yards into the air, his intent sharp as he looked down at Shuuta. Shuuta paused, sensing the same overwhelming mana
"Hey… are you finished talking, or do you plan to keep entertaining me?" The armored Fallen wielded a massive dark sword and abruptly materialized before Shuuta, his teleportation skill at play."Tch." Shuuta exerted all his strength, deflecting the blow; the clash ignited sparks that illuminated their determined faces."Hey there, kid. It's been a while since I had a chance to greet someone. I was beginning to crave the taste of blood," the Fallen jeered in a sinister tone."Are you a Mystic? What brings you here? This is supposed to be Master Iho's domain," Shuuta inquired while sizing up his opponent."Huh? What nonsense are you spouting? This is Hiroyama's forgotten maximum-security prison, technically a dungeon that time left behind," the Fallen's eyes briefly clouded with sorrow before rage engulfed him, and he unleashed a powerful roar, his colossal sword shattering Shuuta's stance.
Hikaru's energy abruptly shifted, sending shivers down Shuuta's spine. A massive surge of mana congregated around Hikaru, catching Shuuta off guard. 'Didn't he mention having less mana than me?' While Shuura was technically right, there was more to it. "I'm about to unveil the results of my training, Shuuta." Hikaru's grin widened as he formed an 'X' with his crossed arms. Opening his palms, he released a wave of mana that pushed the tar monsters several meters back. Shuuta was prepared for impact, but the wave didn't harm him. "Huh? It didn't affect me." "It's not over yet! [Light Magic: Kingusunēku no su!]" Hikaru's command was followed by the formation of various luminous snakes that emerged from his back. One large serpent, imbued with a more ominous presence, stared menacingly at its surroundings from atop Hikaru's head. "Wow…incredible." Shuuta was left speechless
Granny Iho's eyes opened after a prolonged closure, the weight of her closed memories left a sorrowful ache in her chest, and as she gazed at Shuuta, a few tears traced down her cheeks. Ceasing the release of her potent aura, she approached the stunned lad, her diminutive frame seeking a warm embrace from Shuuta. Slowly, his eyes widened, feeling an overwhelming surge of pure love. It was an unfamiliar, ethereal kind of affection, a love transcending time, passed down from one student to another. "Granny? Wh-what are you doing?" Shuuta's voice quivered, perplexed by her unexpected actions. "Quiet, boy. I comprehend your emotions well, perhaps more than you realize. I understand the hatred that festers within your heart, for I too have harbored such feelings for decades. But do not worry, I shall take that burden upon myself so that you can find liberation." Shuuta was taken aback by her offer, wondering why she would go to such lengths for him. "Granny..." Shuuta gazed intently i
"Have you heard what Shigeo did? Oi, Konseki! Are you even listening? You bastard!""Hahh? Shigeo this, Shigeo that, can you stop putting Shigeo's willy on your damn mouth, it's annoying."Inside an Izakaya, there was always a commotion, voices of all ranges clashed, many villagers drank to ease their sorrow, and others ate and enjoyed the atmosphere."What did you say asshole? I was trying to relay important information...gulp*" A middle-aged yukata-wearing villager chugged on his sake, slamming the cup as he finished drinking."Honestly, there is always something going on with Shigeo." The other man sighed and dropped his sake. He silenced himself and waited for his comrade to speak this "important" info."Shigeo murdered the 8th Shogun, all by himself."A deep silence fell upon both, the man wearing a kasa on his head glared at his friend in confusion, the
'Mm? What's up Shuuta? Is it important?' Abbadon responded swiftly, even though Shuuta irritated him a bit, he would never turn his back on his son...never again. 'Is Anima a [Domain]?' This question left Abbadon speechless, it was a very advanced question! Even though he was unknowledgeable about stuff like that, thanks to Kohana, an Anima specialist, he was able to learn quite a lot. He groaned in remembrance. 'According to your mother, Anima is related to a Domain, but no. It's not the same skill, they are separate skills from different learnable Magic. I've heard your new Master tell you that the Domain skills are unique to her, she is wrong. Sure, you can't learn the skill at conventional ends, but you can definitely acquire it.' Shuuta's concerns were true. 'So what you meant was that Mystics...no, anyone with the capability can obtain that skill.' <
