As the group walked the vegetation around became scarcer and scarcer. Withered trees became more rampant and dying grasses were littered about. The temperature here also became higher than normal, the sun shining very harshly. It almost sucked the air out of their lungs but everyone continued walking. They couldn't afford to end up delaying as that would lead to them being captured by Project Erebus. Their bunch of agents seemed to be somehow everywhere. They had eyes and ears in all corners of the Earth.

Mary Jane was the only one talking, her soft voice drilling into the ears of everyone. At least that was what gave the group the strength to continue walking or else they would have already collapsed under the harsh sun.
