"Get out of my way Allan" Glenda screamed and shot forward towards the next Beeny. But Liam was unto it as well and shot it down, then he waved at Glenda as they Level two's cheered. "Allan's a jerk, just like Jodge, let him be" He shouted before zooming off. The Noises from the students weren't reducing, especially from the Level Threes, mostly because they were the ones who were winning. The competition was fierce with teams jockeying for position and trying to outmaneuver each other. The Beenys were fast and elusive, but the students were determined to catch as many as they could. Glenda knocked in another arrow and targeted the Beeny she had spotted running close to a row of mahogany trees. She hadn't shot down any Beeny and this was going to be her first shot. But Allan took it again, the arrow going straight through the Beeny and dropping it. Glenda groaned at him, gritting her teeth and fiercely and at that moment, Lance could see the warrior she could become, the fierce
he roared, and fire engulfed his hand, yellow and red emblems snaking up to his arms. "Don't make me say it again, you good for nothing"Jodge's sneer turned into a smirk. "I think it's time to show you who's in charge here." With a wave of his hand, he cast the Immotile spell on Lance.Lance's body went rigid, unable to move. He struggled against the spell, but it was too strong. Jodge and his friends laughed, their jeers ringing in Lance's ears. But Jodge wasn't done yet. He created a water prison that shut out Lance's fire and then made it scathing hot, and trapped Lance inside. "Who's shutting up now?" Jodge taunted.Lance was surprised at how easily Jodge had countered his spell. He was trapped, and he could feel the heat of the water burning his skin. He was at Jodge's mercy."So how do you like your new place huh?... It's quite a new world you encountered after your transmigration" Jodge and his friends made fun of Lance and laughed raucously, their cruel words cutting deep."
The walls and crevices of the dungeon screamed out the darkness, and the chilly air didn't help matters. Byden lay on the cold, damp floor of his prison cell, his mind racing. He had been falsely accused of planning treason, and he had to find a way to escape. He had been in the dungeon for days, and having any hope of escape at this point was near futile. As he was lying there, something caught his eye. It was a sharp, thin rod, lying on the floor just out of reach. He knew that it could be his only chance. He stretched out his hand, straining to reach the rod, then footsteps sounded just ahead and he retreated cowardly into a corner. When the sound receded, he proceeded again, his fingers brushed against it, and he finally grasped it tightly in his hand. With the rod in his possession, Byden knew that he had to act fast and wait for the guard that would cross again. He tapped the rod against the steel gate and it made a loud clinking sound. He kept at the noise he was generating.
Lance walked into Professor Trevor's office, his heart pounding in his chest. He couldn't shake the feeling that he was in trouble, despite the fact that he had done nothing wrong. Professor Trevor had called for him. Could it be that the board had decided against him staying here? Had they changed their minds? As he sat down in front of Professor Trevor's desk, the old man looked at him intently, then smiled "How have you been Lance? I know it's been a week now. I haven't checked up on you" Lance returned the smile, feeling awkward and shy. "I've been doing fine Professor" "And have you experienced any changes yet? Are you still unable to practice magic?""Yes Sir, sadly, and I couldn't participate in the wind sports last week"The man rubbed his chin. "I really don't know what could be up...do you really think it's because of your transmigration?""I think so.. maybe because I don't belong here..it makes sense if I reason it that way""I've recently studied transmigration and wh
Jodge woke up abruptly in the middle of the night, feeling the familiar presence of the Eskern demon he had being possessed with. He lay in bed for a moment, listening to the sound of his breathing and the silence of the dormitory. He could feel the demon's anger and frustration, and it was that it wanted to talk. He sat up slowly, trying to shake off the grogginess of sleep, and then he slipped out of bed and tiptoed towards the door of the dorm room. He heard someone stir and he froze. He didn't want a repeat of the last time when Lance followed him without him knowing, so he waited, hiding close to the steel bunk of someone who was snoring. At the rate, the boy was going to wake everybody up. When he was sure no one had woken, he crept out of the dorm, holding the Eskern totem in his robe pocket. He walked through the winding corridors of the labyrinth, noticing the beastly paintings once more on the walls. He reached the open rocky space where the crack in the wall had gotten big
Lance walked into Professor Trevor's office, greeted him and sat down on the chair opposite him. The professor looked up from his papers and smiled at Lance. "How can I help you, Lance?" he asked."I just wanted to talk to you about the spells I cannot perform. It's just been on my mind and it's so frustrating " Lance replied, looking down at his hands. "I haven't been able to practice any magic spells recently and I don't know what's happening to me. Even though I have tried."Professor Trevor's expression was compassionate. "You have to take it easy with yourself Lance. Don't dwell on it so much so that you start being depressed."Lance shook his head. "Yes, I know professor. But I'm just dejected and disappointed. I don't think I'll ever be a mage again and it's my greatest pain."The professor leaned back in his chair, considering this. "Lance, let me give you a short synopsis of what will eventually happen here in Wiccan. Now there are students from this magic school who will go
Lance let out a sigh, feeling defeated. He thought back to when he saw the boy who wielded the water spell and turned it to iced arrows. The power and control the boy had over the water spell had always fascinated him. He realized that was the spell he wanted to master next. But he had to be careful what his decision was. He could only learn one spell now. The phoenix had probably made it so, giving him another chance at learning something else, another chance at redemption. "There is no time, you'll have to make your decision fast" The phoenix said. He looked back at the phoenix and said, "I want the water spell." The phoenix nodded and said, "Prepare for your next water lesson, then.. Until we meet again." With a smug smile, the phoenix flapped its wings and took to the air, before disappearing in a blaze of flames.Lance stood there, staring at the spot where the phoenix had just been. He couldn't believe what had just happened. He had been chosen by the system and had the oppor
Jodge sat quietly in his dorm room in the middle of the night, deep in thought. Suddenly, the Eskern demon appeared from the totem on his nightstand. Jodge tensed up, expecting the demon to berate him again for his failure to defeat Lance. He had known the creature to be very impatient, enough to appear in the dorm room where others could wake up and easily spot the demon. "Do you want to put me in trouble? Why are you doing this?.. you could have told me you wanted to talk and I'd have found a safe place""Now is the time," the demon said, his voice low and menacing, ignoring his complaint. "It's time to go to war with Wiccan, with Golredot. My people are ready to be free, to take over, you are so slothful and lazy... you need to begin now""I'd appreciate it you let me go to bed.." Jodge said, tiredly. The demon hissed, but said nothing. "you can't possibly be expecting me to go right now and initiate a war? You gotta be kidding me." "No, of course not. But the time has come" The
