The bell signaling the end of class rang, and the students began packing up their belongings and making their way out of the lecture hall. As Lance and his girlfriend Glenda made their way out, they couldn't help but notice the critical looks the other students were casting their way. As they walked down the hallway, Lance could hear the whispers of the other students. "There goes the thief," one student muttered. "I can't believe he's still walking around here," another chimed in.

Glenda squeezed Lance's hand tightly, trying to offer him some reassurance. "Don't listen to them, Lance," she said softly. "We know you didn't steal anything."
