Lance let out a sigh, feeling defeated. He thought back to when he saw the boy who wielded the water spell and turned it to iced arrows. The power and control the boy had over the water spell had always fascinated him. He realized that was the spell he wanted to master next.

But he had to be careful what his decision was. He could only learn one spell now. The phoenix had probably made it so, giving him another chance at learning something else, another chance at redemption.

"There is no time, you'll have to make your decision fast" The phoenix said.
