Lance's thoughts drifted away from the present so much that he didn't know when Liam sneaked up on him and a gust of wind blew on his hair, startling him. Liam laughed, satisfied his plan had worked. "Yeah, funny" Lance said, his face straight and filled with boredom. Liam sat close to him. "Glenda was asking of you.. you're lucky I didn't know your whereabouts, your quiet moment would have been seriously obstructed." "I don't want to see anybody" Liam reviewed him. "You don't look good, what's going on?.. don't tell me it's the incident with Jodge." "No... it's something else entirely..."Lance looked at him".I can't cast spells again Liam"Liam frowned. "I don't get, how is that possible?" Lance observed the purple clouds, swinging his legs."I don't know...I guess my time is up here. Maybe the reason I came had been accomplished, and now it's time to head back...I mean that'd explain a lot of things, why there had been cracks on the walls with blue light glowing on them and to
Jodge's eyes snapped open as he suddenly awoke from his unconscious state. He looked around and saw shelves of potions, salves and Vials and realized that he was lying in the medic ward of the Apothecary, and that he was alone. He sat up in bed and felt a sharp pain in his head, his fever had deteriorated but it still left it's remnant ache in his head. He tried to stand up, but he felt weak and dizzy. The room was dimly lit because the curtains had been closed, and that the only light came from rays seeping in through the main building of the Apothecary. He sat up, trying to gather his thoughts and recall the things that had happened, but they were fuzzy, distant and stubborn, unwilling to come to him now that he needed them. He suddenly heard a voice in his head. It was the voice of the Eskern demon that had possessed him. The demon snarled, "You fool! Let me out now" Jodge held the totem out of his robe pocket. Luckily, no one had searched him and found it. "I call you fort
Together, Jodge and the demon were out to take down Lance and take over Golredot, but Jodge knew that he couldn't trust the demon and he needed to be careful, he apparently had to be one step ahead of it, to make sure that it wouldn't betray him. He knew that he had to be careful, and that he couldn't let the demon know what he was up about. Jodge and the demon continued to discuss their plan, going over the details and making sure that everything was in place. Jodge listened carefully. "I won't be able to do it alone, I'll need the help of the new friends I've made""Are you sure they'll be able to deliver..those pathetic fools can spoil my plan sooner than it's think possible""They won't...they won't leave me like Lance did" "So, when do we strike?" The demon asked, trying to sound confident."There is no time to be wasted...my people can't wait for the chance to finally be loosed back into this world, where they'll no longer be bound into totems but they'll be free to roam and wa
He concentrated again and the flames grew, and turned to the animal of his choosing just like he'd done before, nothing had changed. So what had changed? Lance immediately began to try out other spells. The Portal spell, and the time spell he knew and found that he could still wield them too."This is amazing," he said, a smile spreading across his face. "I thought I had lost my magic forever.""I'm glad that's the case..and we were able to figure this out," Glenda said, her own smile matching his. "We'll have to work on figuring out what caused your magic to go and how to fix it permanently."Liam nodded in agreement. "We'll figure it out together," he said. "But for now, let's focus on getting you back to full strength."As they talked, Frank and Mara were astonished as they looked on. "there is something I haven't told any of you specifically, except for Glenda and Liam.,""Why do those two have to be the first to know your secrets, feels more like you three are the team and we
"What do you think he wants?" Mara asked. "Obviously to fish me out. Thankfully I won't be participating."Miss. Eloise stood at the entrance to Wiccan forest, her tall and slender frame silhouetted against the early morning sun. The students of Level two to Level four gathered around her, their faces alight with excitement and anticipation. They had been told that today was the day of the annual wind sports competition, and they were eager to see what was in store for them."Now the students that will be chosen " Miss. Eloise said, her voice carrying across the open field. " From Level two, we have Glenda, Liam, Allan, John, Katy""Goodness.. I'm going to be in the game." Glenda looked with wide eyes at them. "Same here" Liam said, surprised. "Can the people mentioned step out now pls"Glenda stood up, alongside Liam. Allan stood up as well from where he sat with the other guys, and glared at them. They all wove their way to the front of the crowd and staff. Miss. Eloise called
"Get out of my way Allan" Glenda screamed and shot forward towards the next Beeny. But Liam was unto it as well and shot it down, then he waved at Glenda as they Level two's cheered. "Allan's a jerk, just like Jodge, let him be" He shouted before zooming off. The Noises from the students weren't reducing, especially from the Level Threes, mostly because they were the ones who were winning. The competition was fierce with teams jockeying for position and trying to outmaneuver each other. The Beenys were fast and elusive, but the students were determined to catch as many as they could. Glenda knocked in another arrow and targeted the Beeny she had spotted running close to a row of mahogany trees. She hadn't shot down any Beeny and this was going to be her first shot. But Allan took it again, the arrow going straight through the Beeny and dropping it. Glenda groaned at him, gritting her teeth and fiercely and at that moment, Lance could see the warrior she could become, the fierce
he roared, and fire engulfed his hand, yellow and red emblems snaking up to his arms. "Don't make me say it again, you good for nothing"Jodge's sneer turned into a smirk. "I think it's time to show you who's in charge here." With a wave of his hand, he cast the Immotile spell on Lance.Lance's body went rigid, unable to move. He struggled against the spell, but it was too strong. Jodge and his friends laughed, their jeers ringing in Lance's ears. But Jodge wasn't done yet. He created a water prison that shut out Lance's fire and then made it scathing hot, and trapped Lance inside. "Who's shutting up now?" Jodge taunted.Lance was surprised at how easily Jodge had countered his spell. He was trapped, and he could feel the heat of the water burning his skin. He was at Jodge's mercy."So how do you like your new place huh?... It's quite a new world you encountered after your transmigration" Jodge and his friends made fun of Lance and laughed raucously, their cruel words cutting deep."
The walls and crevices of the dungeon screamed out the darkness, and the chilly air didn't help matters. Byden lay on the cold, damp floor of his prison cell, his mind racing. He had been falsely accused of planning treason, and he had to find a way to escape. He had been in the dungeon for days, and having any hope of escape at this point was near futile. As he was lying there, something caught his eye. It was a sharp, thin rod, lying on the floor just out of reach. He knew that it could be his only chance. He stretched out his hand, straining to reach the rod, then footsteps sounded just ahead and he retreated cowardly into a corner. When the sound receded, he proceeded again, his fingers brushed against it, and he finally grasped it tightly in his hand. With the rod in his possession, Byden knew that he had to act fast and wait for the guard that would cross again. He tapped the rod against the steel gate and it made a loud clinking sound. He kept at the noise he was generating.
