Adonis exited the hall where he had just finished a meeting with the task force agents. He had laid out their assignments and deployment plans for tomorrow, the dreaded day one of Oliver's bombing spree.

With the weight of impending chaos on his shoulders, Adonis tried to find solace in the embrace of his bed, but sleep escaped him like a wily shadow in the night. He turned to his woman, "Valerie," he began, his voice tinged with uncertainty, "I can't shake this feeling of dread that something bad is about to happen and it's not Oliver I'm afraid of, but all of these responsibilities that come with becoming king.
