Chapter 6

"You have three months to do whatever it is you have to do.

After the three months, I am not sure there is anything I can do to convince your father anymore" The housekeeper finished, sighing.

"Three months is more than enough time for me to get my revenge" A smiling Colin had said, he knew his plans were starting to come to life

"One more thing though, activate my deactivated accounts" Colin ordered

"All of it?" The housekeeper asked in surprise

"No, just one of it"

"It is done, I'll send you your card and bank details right away, be careful" The housekeeper advised

"Will do, thank you. How much do I have in this account you just activated?" Colin inquired

"About 300 million?" The housekeeper responded proudly, he knew he was going to get in trouble if Colin's father found out, but i* was worth the risk

"That should do, thank you" Colin replied joyfully

"I'll be waiting for when you are done then"

"I will keep you updated" Colin promises.

Taking one last look at the Williams' home, Colin shakes his head and turns to leave.

"

I could have helped you, I really could have" Colin had said to himself.

Such a shame they would not see what was beyond the eyes.

Colin would not feel pity for them at this time, his only aim was revenge.

He would get it, by all means humanly possible.

It was getting late into the night and it was cold, Colin needed to find a place to stay.

It was best to stay at a hotel since the top families had only insisted to humiliate him.

Colin found a hotel after a few minutes' walk and stepped in, it looked luxurious enough.

Carefully following behind was Marissa and her newfound love.

"Did you see that?" Marissa asked pointing to Colin

"Did he just walk into that hotel?" Marissa's new husband inquires, shocked

"He probably is just looking for a job there" Marissa tries to explain it

"At this time? Isn't it a little too late to ask for a job?" He asks

"Well, he needs a place to stay. He just might be begging for where to lay his head"

Marissa answers

"Oh, yes. That makes sense. Can we go now?" He asks

"No, just not yet. I want to see the look on his face once he gets thrown out again"

Marissa chuckles

"You care that much?"

He asks, disappointed that Marissa would rather watch a loser like Colin than go home with him.

"It is not care, it is the satisfaction I get from seeing it"

Marissa says with an evil smile on her face

"Alright then, do as you wish" he let her win.

"Hello...Sir?" The receptionist stutters as she looks at Colin.

What would a loser like this be doing in here?

"Hello ma'am" Colin greeted

"Uh, are you looking for someone? I'm sure you are at the wrong place"

The receptionist insists

"Is this not a hotel where one can spend the night?" Colin asks

"Yes, it is" the receptionist answers

"Then, I want to spend the night," Colin says

"Alright, it is about 500,000 dollars a night"

The receptionist says, hoping he would leave immediately.

Surely, he couldn't afford this place, the receptionist thinks.

"Great, let me have a room then"

Colin says

"After you pay?"

The receptionist had to make sure this wasn't a joke to Colin

The receptionist says smiling, knowing that Colin would not be able to afford a place like this.

It was one thing she hated about the job, men like this walking in and giving her a hard time to just work.

"There might be cheaper hotels down the road if you decide to look around"

The receptionist suggests

"No, I want this. It is way below my usual standard but I can manage"

Colin says to the shock of the receptionist.

Just who does this man think he is? Was this all a game to him?

This was one of the best if not the best hotel in the city and he says it is way below his standard.

"Your card sir?" She asks quickly wanting  to get this over with.

"Ah, yes. Here it is" Colin says handing her his card

The receptionist's face goes down in disappointment, she had hoped he didn't have one.

Well, let's check to see if you have got any money, she thought.

It beeped, it paid!

"I'm hungry, do you have any food?"

Colin asks to smile, seeing the change of look on her face

It's surprising how quickly money can make someone so important just in a matter of seconds.

"The best in the city sir" The receptionist answers

"What would you suggest then?" Colin asks

"Anything you would want" the receptionist answers

"I'll have the most expensive meal then, have it delivered to my room"

Colin ordered as he was handed the keys to his room.

He had missed this life, one of wealth and influence.

"On it, sir. Enjoy your stay with us and do not be in a hurry to leave" The receptionist says.

"Must be one of those rich, humble guys out there. A very rare sight to see indeed"

The receptionist says as he walks away. She couldn't even imagine herself that way.

Why have money and pretend to be poor?

Hopefully, he stays for a very long time. The company could use the money at this time.

"Yes please, take the meal to room..." The receptionist said over the telephone.

"It has almost been an hour, why isn't he out yet?"

A frustrated Marissa had asked

"I am worried too, he should have been out by now but he isn't."

Her husband had said

"Was he offered a job or a place to stay?"

Marissa asks

"No, they possibly would not do that"

The husband answers

"Why not?"

She asks

"Have you forgotten so quickly? The top families were at the judgment and had promised to not offer him jobs"

He assures

"I know but do you think the top families would keep to their words?"

He asks

"What does that mean? Are you saying they could snitch on us?"

Marissa inquires

"I haven't spelled that out. I am just saying that with wealthy people, you just never can tell" he says

"No, they would stand with us. We did so with them when they were at their lowest" Marissa explains

"Alright, I am sure they will"

The husband agrees

"Don't you think we should go in?" Marissa asks

"And do what exactly?" Her husband objects

"Check if he's in there, see what he went in there to do" Marissa explains

"What do we say to the receptionist?"

He asks

"We are looking for a thief. And for all we know, he could be possibly robbing someone in there"

Marissa suggests

"Hmm, considering what he did to your family, it is not far-fetched from what he would likely do" He agrees

"Let's go then" Marissa says

"Wait, but wouldn't that make you look desperate?" He asks

"I do not understand" Marissa admits

"What if this is what he wants?" He asks

"What Colin wants?" Marissa scoffs, Colin doesn't even know what he wants, he hasn't known for 3 years.

"Perhaps he saw us follow him and decided to lead us on here deliberately" He explains

"No, he wouldn't" Marissa almost yelled

"How are you so sure?" He asks

"Colin is too weak, he would have run had he seen us. Besides, he isn't that smart"

Marissa answers smiling.

She knew Colin too well.

"You underestimate him. The same way you did until he tried to have his way with your sister?" He asks

"What are you suggesting we do?" Marissa inquires

"Something else but not walk in like that?" He says

"I am open to any ideas you may have" Marissa jeers

"We wait?" He says, crossing his arms

"Wait?" Marissa repeated

"No! Or you can call someone..." He was saying before Marissa interrupted

"Call a member of this family in charge of the hotel and ask about it," he says

"Yes, that I can do" Marissa agrees.

Marissa takes out her phone quickly and dials a number.
