Graveyard dungeon 2

The river of time flowed untouched and the gloomy air polluted the minds of people.

Shaa!

As Alex was engulfed in green smoke. some people looked at the same spot without blinking while some mocked Alex for being an idiot and not moving from the spot when Armando had told him to move.

"What an idiot!

Mocked someone under his breath as he thought that it was a waste to let someone die this soon even if he was an idiotic clown. Even idiots could be used as a meat shield but this?

Tch!

"Yeah! Serves him right!

Yelled one of the members of the Chu Family and Chu Feng stopped looking at the spot where Alex was standing and glared at him and he immediately straightened and shut his mouth.

mocking someone's death frowns upon no matter the place. so he shut his mouth because of the displeasure of the people around him.

But even if he hadn't. they didn't get to release more of their dissatisfaction as Alex walked out with a toothy grin on his face. his clothes are still as clean as before without a scratch on his body.

Armando took it naturally while the ones who had discontentment with him shut their mouths.

"We are here to clear the dungeon. you all can solve your problems after going out of here," declared Armando as he had seen some friction between the members of the whole group which was very obvious at this point.

he didn't want to have his mission become a mess and the lives of his teammates in peril. so he had to make it clear.

Grrr!

Dreadful growling and moaning sounds rose in the background as the hands of zombies that were stretched out of the graves had their whole humanoid bodies come out with rotten flesh dangling from their decayed skeletons and their eyes vacant with a bloodthirsty glow in them.

Rattle! Rattle!

Corrupted skeletons of all kinds of shapes mostly humanoid came out as they stared at the group standing in a circle forming a simple formation on Armando's command.

Some skeletons had weapons while some were just staring at the group with reddish-green eye sockets burning with the desire for live flesh and blood.

Nobody knew if the awakening of the undead was a cliche from a horror movie or if it was done on purpose but it didn't matter much now as the undead had their targets set while they walked slowly at first but sped up gradually.

Armando was standing at the forefront of the group like a fearless warrior ready to fight for his teammates behind him. and the rest followed suit by clenching their weapons.

Bam!

As the bone-rattling and gurgling sounds rang in the dungeon a skeleton collided with Armando's giant sword he struck it with a force that shattered some bones on impact while the rest were sent flying successfully immobilizing it.

But before he could think anything else another one came and he was besieged from all sides.

It was the same for everyone as the undead attacked like a maddened animal pouncing at its prey.

If the undead were killed on the first strike which is possible as they were in the s-rank and because of their mindless attacks they were easy targets and a normal s-rank could kill them easily but what about ten? Hundred? Thousand?

That was the main problem the cultivators weren't inexhaustible like the undead and felt pain if they get hit on the other hand zombies and skeletons would just get up again if they weren't properly immobilized and would bite if they didn't have arms and even if they didn't have any limb they would still crawl towards the group.

Swish!

Bang!

Swishing sounds of swords rang in the air as the banging sounds of Alex crushing them with telekinesis rang out.

As the fight continued in the heavy mist undead would come from here and there without any stop and the group became tired as time passed.

Uncertainty and security colluded their brains and tension was surrounding them as their resolution wavered but they didn't say anything and kept fighting as they knew that if one showed weakness then the rest would follow suit.

Armando knew this as well and he ordered everyone to keep moving going deeper inside the dungeon. like a sword piercing straight thet moved deeper inside.

Armando still stayed in the front cleaving through the hordes of undead with a golden light glowing on his body.

This was the power of belief as he believed that he will lead them all inside the dungeon and kill the boss to clear the dungeon. and this belief in himself led to the current situation where he acted as the tip of the sword going in first through the mist.

With Armando leading the way it became very easy and the others had some burdens lifted from their shoulders. but not much and it was getting unbearable for some.

As they passed the graves and killed the undead that came out of them. one of the tombs exploded like it was done calculatedly, and a zombie blasted out as it attacked the cultivator that was moving past this grave.

The sneak attack worked as the cultivator could not react in time and had his calf bitten by the zombie through his armor.

Arghh!

The member of the tian family that had his calf bitten by the zombie screamed in agony as the bite of a zombie was not simple and the man was immediately infected by the poisonous mana and bacteria.

Damn!

Blue veins bulged on his body as he felt weakness in his legs and slumped down and thought he would die but the person standing next to him struck the zombie on its head and killed it.

But it was too late as the person was already dying and before they could help him or tell him to circulate the mana he had already stopped breathing.

As the undead attacked they just looked at him lying miserably on the ground and the atmosphere became solemn as the first death had happened.

Armando was unusually weighty and thought that it was his incompetence that resulted in his teammate's death and that he should have reacted in time or had thought of this scenario.

But what has happened has already happened and it could not be changed but what can be changed is their vigilance, as it could be increased as much as they wanted.

Like a stoic, he thought for a moment before giving the command to keep moving. His logical thinking and calm-headedness gave them a sense of security.

This kind of sneak attack happened a couple more times but it wasn't as sudden as before the forest one was special and now they were prepared and didn't have another deceased person to learn a lesson from.

But the eerie thing that happened was not the death but the weird glow in Alex's eyes and the shit-eating grin that nobody saw on his now repulsive-looking face because of the rotten expression he had on his face.

The reason for that was that the zombie that attacked the person from the Tian family had him as his target initially but after seeing it in the grave with radar he had used telekinesis to keep it from moving and had deliberately let it attack the person from before and that means he could save him.

But he didn't!

And that's because he wanted to weaken the Tian family's position and then befriend them and use them afterward. This scheme had blossomed in his mind when he thought about the nature of the business of the tian family.

Alex wouldn't have done something like that and he would never kill an innocent even if it benefits him, and that was his principle for living. and he would also never be this showy and mock others he liked because Alex was not that kind of person and was too lazy to waste his time like that.

But Alex today was somewhat foreign and bizarre and only had goals in his mind that he had to complete without giving any regard to any other thing. His compassion and sense of empathy going down the gutter. His personality taking another sharp turn and going down the wrong path.
