Chapter 3: Trying to Escape

Narukha couldn't just sit back and wait for a miracle.

When midnight came, fifteen people in this wooden hut were asleep, Narukha was still awake.

Now Narukha was sleeping face down on the cot. In front of his eyes, there were three scribbled sheets of paper.

All the papers are Narukha's notes for three months. He observed the movements of the System Warrior members. Narukha has noted that once a month, there is a schedule for exchanging System Warrior members from this refugee area to another refugee area.

Also, Narukha once secretly stole conversations when System Warrior members were transferred to the elite area. They departed with the elites who were also transferred to another elite area's refuge.

"Last month, they had exchanged System Warrior members at midnight of the seventeenth.

The previous month, they had exchanged on the sixteenth. Which means… this month, they will be making an exchange at midnight on the eighteenth."

Then Narukha fell silent. He checked the number of lines as the date and month he recorded. It was midnight from the seventeenth to the eighteenth, which meant it was the time for the System Warrior members to exchange.

Then Narukha moved in a hurry grabbing his shabby backpack. Because he wanted to make a sound, Narukha got up slowly from the couch, then stepped a little on tiptoe.

Before he came out of the wooden hut which fortunately was not locked, Narukha stopped for a moment. A pair of eyes scanned the surroundings to make sure no System Warriors were on patrol.

Safe state.

Narukha came out of the wooden hut, took a few steps and pressed against the wall of the wooden hut. Along the way, Narukha occasionally looked to the right, left, front and back.

Luckily tonight looks deserted guard.

"Even though I want to get my turn to move areas. Which elite area do you think they will be transferred to?"

Narukha's body immediately jerked backwards, hiding again behind the wall of the wooden hut. Narukha pressed his back against the hut while stepping sideways like a crab.

"I don't know. Bad news is I didn't get the region swap turn either."

From Narukha's left side, two members of the System Warrior walked by. They didn't turn to the right, the direction where Narukha was.

"Yeah. I'm so sick of having to look after this poor area. The money is so small."

Narukha trying his best to hold back his emotions. After the voices of the two System Warrior members' conversations started to sound distant, Narukha continued on.

This time Narukha's movements were in a hurry but tried not to make a sound. Creeping from the West side, crossing to the East side, then turning around until arriving at the South side.

This was the border of the residents' wooden huts and the base of the System Warrior members. The gathering center is located a bit far.

Again, Narukha got lucky because she was not too late. From behind one of the walls of a small post building, Narukha watched several members of the System Warriors getting ready.

Not only that thing. What shocked him was the sight of two luxury long cars. There are about eight transport trucks that look more luxurious than the cars transporting the poor.

"HEY, LET'S MOVE QUICKLY! DON'T BE SLOW!"

One by one the System Warrior members move into the luxury transport truck. Meanwhile, from inside the two luxury long cars, several members of the System Warrior descended.

There were about five men who looked older and more mature. Narukha guessed they were the leaders of the other System Warrior members.

"After the members leave, please have the food distribution truck catch up!"

Narukha shifted her gaze to the left side. He was more surprised because there were about three trucks carrying food distribution. All rear trunk doors open showing empty contents.

There is no more food there.

Narukha remembered her observation since yesterday. If the trucks carrying the food distribution run out, they will return to the center.

An idea popped into Naruto's head. In silence, his brain began to calculate everything.

There are only two people in each of the food distribution trucks. One driver and one spare driver.

There is only one minute remaining.

Gradually, the rear, where the trucks carrying the food distribution were located, began to quiet down. Everyone moved to the car of the System Warrior members.

"It's time to appear," muttered Narukha who curved a cynical smile.

After feeling the time was right, Narukha then hurried away stealthily. He chose the back lane so as not to be caught off guard. The steps are very slow.

His eyes were busy watching the officers who were standing back then. Occasionally Narukha sneaks behind the walls of the postal buildings which are scattered at several points.

"Hey, try checking the back area one more time!"

Narukha immediately stopped walking and stepped back. His body quickly hide behind the wall, even though he was only five steps away from Narukha being able to sneak into the food distribution van.

"Okay, Boss!"

Narukha bit his lower lip when he heard footsteps approaching. His heart was pounding.

"Dudududu~"

Narukha shifted slightly away and pressed his body closer to the wall. The male officer's humming voice sounded close, like he was right on the right side of the post where Narukha was hiding.

"There is nothing here...."

Narukha trying to calm himself down. Waited for a while until he felt the male officer had walked away.

Narukha immediately took the opportunity. From behind the officers, Narukha's feet rushed to the food distribution truck.

Luckily no one noticed Narukha's movements.

Now Narukha was already in the truck. His body was hiding between the large boxes, his height was almost as tall as Narukha's body.

"Phew..." Narukha breathed a sigh of relief as he sat down.

Soon the door of the food distribution truck car was closed. Narukha was a bit surprised to hear a loud voice from the right side.

But his surprise didn't last long because the sound of a car engine running distracted him. Narukha felt his heart was very enthusiastic. He had already imagined what to say to the System Warriors in the refuge of the rich.

'Forgive me, Camp Underground. I'm going to seek help so that there won't be more deaths here,' thought Narukha.

From here, Narukha's journey begins.
