As Aamon watched, his hands began to shake as he was confronted with the image of Hoxfur behaving in such a reckless manner. In point of fact, he did not want her to die at all, and the prospect of her passing away in such a manner was not something that he considered to be particularly appealing.

A large amount of blood had already been lost by Hoxfur, and Aamon could not simply stand by and watch her fade away in such a manner. During the entirety of the incident, Aamon focused his attention on maintaining his composure. Under these circumstances, he could not permit himself to be susceptible to defeat through any means. Because in the event that that were to take happen, he would eventually be unable to maintain the equilibrium of the life energy that emanates from inside him.
