Now in the city of Meo, Greg and the two young magicians had just returned from the field, where they had been all day, practicing their powers under the instruction of Greg.

After they had gone inside the house, the dark lord, Verona, Godric and Ned appeared at the front of the compound and they walked into the yard. Getting to the front door of the house, Ned banged on the door, and it was so loud and the manner in which he banged on the door was unusual and frightening.

Then Greg encouraged Elek and Tyra not to panic, making use of sign language, while he went close to the door and peeped to see who it was that banged their door in such a manner. When he had checked and saw the face of Ned, he opened the door with the thought that Ned was still the same person which he knew as.

Immediately the door was unlocked from the inside by Greg, Ned then forcefully pushed the door open, causing it to hit Greg to the floor. And then he walked in with the dark lord Kees, Verona and Godric.
