As the sky began to brighten up, there was no more use for lamps. The dark lord and his armies began to approach his base in the city of Babb. They were returning from the battlefront after a very long fight which they were unable to prevail because the soldiers they fought against were far beyond their number and expectation. There was no way for them to break the line and enter Meo, therefore it was proved to the dark lord that the small city really had men of valor.

After the long fight in the field without seeing the soldiers of Raia, dark lord Kees also realized that there was a very small probability for Ned and the soldiers he was with to conquer the city. But since he had not returned yet, Kees still had to keep hope alive until Ned returned from fighting.
