Chapter 148.

It was just a day after king Fenton had declared war against king Percy, and the people of Pell, both soldiers and civilians were all waiting to hear the final declaration of their king, whether he would change his mind by apologizing to king Percy and give his daughter in marriage to his son, Geoff or he was still going to continue with the war.

In the evening hours of that day, the clouds filled up and then began a very heavy storm with lightning striking down to the surface of the earth, and the storm destroyed a lot of things in the entire kingdom; such as the crops of farmers and some buildings which were not rooted strong in the ground. And the rain continued until noon of the following day when it finally stopped and the people came out again from their houses to put back in place those things which the storm had damaged.
