With everyone running up and down to see what had caused the explosion, Stan was left in the court still in chains. The judges who were also the heads of the academy had to put the school as their number one priority as they had a lot of young students to account for.Meanwhile, Trisha looked at Ling with a strange eye because of the words which he had said earlier about doing the unlawful thing just to make sure Stan was not killed. So the explosion seemed to be what he had planned. As lIng noticed the way Trisha looked at him, he quickly shakes his head telling her that whatever happened was not his doing. Nevertheless, it was to his advantage, so he went towards Stan who had been abandoned in the desk and Trisha had no option than to follow him even though she still thinks the explosion was all his doing.“Tell me you are not responsible for this?” Stan asked Ling because he also heard when Ling said he had a plan to ensure he does not face death.“No.” Ling answered as he broke th
Since all attention was focused in Stan’s direction, Ling attacked one of the aliens from behind and his action drew attention to himself too, but there was another person in the location, who also came out from hiding, throwing something at one alien, therefore the aliens could not face one person at a time. Due to what had happened when the alien tried shooting Stan when he was struggling with another but ended up killing its kind, it decided to shoot at the third person that had come out of hiding, but before it could release the trigger, Stan came out again and pulled the trigger before it. In the same spirit, he also shot the alien which Ling was struggling with.“Nassor, what are you doing here?” Ling asked the guy who had come out of hiding, calling him by name because he is also a student in the academy.“Trying to survive just like you guys,” Nassor Dimka answered based on his thoughts. But the look he saw on their face revealed to him they were up to something more than sur
“Are you sure about this? There has to be another way.” Trisha said because she feared too that Stan would get hurt in the process.“You said it yourself that there is no other way.” Stan Gibson said to her as he got to his feet after realizing how much both Ling and Trisha did not want him dead. Then he called out to the aliens that were patrolling the place. “Hey, over here!'' As he raised his voice, he began to shoot at random as he ran away from the spot where the others were hiding. The bullets he shot hit a few of the aliens as they also shot at him. seeing how they pulled their triggers at him, he could no longer shoot back at them but run for his life, dodging their shot. Since the diversion they needed had been created with all aliens in the area turning and going after Stan, Ling and Nassor came out of hiding, shooting back at the aliens, and with this strategy the hit a good number of the aliens, so the aliens had to shoot in different directions, giving Stan the space onc
After Stan Gibson left the surrounding area of the academy, the aliens soon began to retreat from the area; it appeared they could no longer track the reason for their early attack on the academy. The department in charge of fighting in the academy, still were not able to kill a single alien due to the weapon which they used so when the aliens began to leave they knew they had a mission on the academy, and probably that mission had been achieved so they had to leave. After the departure of the aliens completely, the survivors of the attack waited a few minutes before letting to be sure none of the aliens was left before coming to see the multitude that had died as a result of the attack.Though they did not like the idea that a lot of people had died in the academy that day, somehow it was for the best on the side of the few leaders that survived. Now it was evident to them that truly Rudo Walid was killed by aliens just as Ling and Trisha had told them, but still, they were not going
Following the direction of Adoth, Stan Gibson drove the truck towards the borders of Atlanta as that was as far as he could go away from the academy. Yet that was not far enough for Stan. If not for the lack of the diesel in the truck, he would have crossed the borders of Columbia into Atlanta. Most of the vehicles in this ere were electronic and this brought about a very few locations of gas stations and the electronic cars were difficult to access.“This is as far as we can go.” Stan said as the car came to a stop. The four of them came out of the car as they headed for an old abandoned and destroyed building which was along the highway.“I still don’t believe this,” Nassor said as they walked in the direction of the building. His words made the other three to look at him in a weird manner that interpreted their desire to know more about what he was saying so he got to continue further. “We are more than a hundred miles away from the academy all by ourselves with no master to guide
Stan still hesitated for some time before proceeding because he hadn't gotten the full prediction of what they would think about his words, but he needed to say it. “I know this might sound strange to you but systems are real and I am possessed by one. I tells what is about to happen and leave me to handle it myself. It has been the source of my augmentation and it serves as my own chip.”“You are not making any point to me,” Nassor said as he looked at Ling and Trisha, asking them to know what they thought. “Is he?” “I’m as confused as you are, Nassor.” Trisha answered him. From their words, Stan saw that they were having difficulty believing him and it might be impossible to convince them as Adoth had demanded, yet he continued. “I knew of this alien invasion right from the very first day they came to earth. That was the day I caught you Ling and Rudo, but later left you after a sudden shock and pause which I believe you noticed and caused you to come after me instead of going back
Meanwhile, Stan woke Nassor and Trisha up too, and they came close to the window holding the guns of the aliens ready to attack anything or anyone.“What do you see?” Stan asked Ling who was still trying to spot something suspicious out there.“Nothing yet.” Ling answered him, still looking out of the window in search of something suspicious.Still Stan was not going to take that answer like that, he knew that Adoth had always been accurate when it has to do with matters like that, so he said to them. “We can’t stay here anymore.”“Like now?” Trisha was confused because it was dark and going outside the house would be putting their lives in danger. “We should take cover here till morning.”“No, Adoth says we leave now.” “Who’s Adoth?” Nassor asked because he was hearing the name for the first time. Stan did not mention that name when he was telling them about the system.“The system,” Stan replied in a stressed tone. He did get why he had to tell them everything in detail as if they
“Stop right there!” This command came as they approached the border into Atlanta. Not only was this command heard, they were surrounded at once by the military men in the area. These were more than just soldiers; they were also elites because they had chips implanted in them. Some were graduates of the school that had been destroyed while others were graduates of other special schools too. With the soldiers coming out and surrounding them, the four of them stopped at once, putting their hands in the air because any attempt to move would be termed suspicious and can bring about an opening of fire at them.It wasn’t as if they had done anything wrong but for the reason of them coming through that path, they were tagged suspects with evil intention because that was not the proper route into the state of Atlanta. They were running away from the main road so as to avoid being attacked by the aliens, and little did they know that they were doing something illegally in the process.Without
