Meanwhile, Stan woke Nassor and Trisha up too, and they came close to the window holding the guns of the aliens ready to attack anything or anyone.“What do you see?” Stan asked Ling who was still trying to spot something suspicious out there.“Nothing yet.” Ling answered him, still looking out of the window in search of something suspicious.Still Stan was not going to take that answer like that, he knew that Adoth had always been accurate when it has to do with matters like that, so he said to them. “We can’t stay here anymore.”“Like now?” Trisha was confused because it was dark and going outside the house would be putting their lives in danger. “We should take cover here till morning.”“No, Adoth says we leave now.” “Who’s Adoth?” Nassor asked because he was hearing the name for the first time. Stan did not mention that name when he was telling them about the system.“The system,” Stan replied in a stressed tone. He did get why he had to tell them everything in detail as if they
“Stop right there!” This command came as they approached the border into Atlanta. Not only was this command heard, they were surrounded at once by the military men in the area. These were more than just soldiers; they were also elites because they had chips implanted in them. Some were graduates of the school that had been destroyed while others were graduates of other special schools too. With the soldiers coming out and surrounding them, the four of them stopped at once, putting their hands in the air because any attempt to move would be termed suspicious and can bring about an opening of fire at them.It wasn’t as if they had done anything wrong but for the reason of them coming through that path, they were tagged suspects with evil intention because that was not the proper route into the state of Atlanta. They were running away from the main road so as to avoid being attacked by the aliens, and little did they know that they were doing something illegally in the process.Without
Stan and Nassor successfully ran into the building without harm, so they made haste to look around for the guns so as to reunite with Ling and Trisha outside before it became too late. But in the course of finding the guns, some soldiers came into the building too, bringing the fight to them as the aliens were pressing on with the attack.“What are you doing here?” One of the soldiers caught them in the building and who they were was no longer news to any of the soldiers in the barrack. “We can help.” Stan said to the soldier instead of giving him an answer to the asked question. The soldier looked around, seeing that the attack they were facing from the aliens was a very heavy one and it would be the wrong time to try detaining them, in addition to this, they were only ten soldiers that had fallen backwards into the building which was their armory, so letting them fight was not going to be a bad idea at all. So he said, “Alright, pick up a weapon, they are closing on us.” “Your gu
Not up to an hour later, the aliens began to leave the barrack and it was unknown to the soldiers why because they knew that the aliens were going to win the fight if they continued, in short, the aliens had already won the fight before leaving because hundreds of soldiers were already dead. Yet in all, the surviving soldiers were happy that the aliens were leaving after conquering the barrack literally.A few minutes after the aliens left, a helicopter landed in the barrack, that was the team that had come to carry Trisha, Ling, Nassor and Stan from the soldiers’ custody. Scott Turner and Sullivan Nathan were the ones who had come to pick them up along with four other men who were not students of the academy. When they came off the helicopter to see the condition of the barrack and how dead soldiers were littered everywhere, they could clearly tell that the aliens were there because they also saw one or two dead aliens in the area. Finding the commander in charge of that division w
[Why aren’t you going with them?]Adoth spoke to him as he still maintained his position. Even though it was a system and knew some things before they happened, it was not able to read all of Stan’s decisions because Stan did not die completely before it chose him to be its host. By the way, it took permission before entering Stan’s body. Stan too was not expecting that question, he had this thought that Adoth knows everything about him and all his actions too. But the question asked just showed that Adoth had some limits. Nevertheless, he had his reasons for not moving with his friends to the shelter and that reason had to be achieved as he was also waiting to hear Adoth speak before he would raise the topic of the discussion which he wants to engage Adoth in. “I’ve noticed something strange and I need answers from you because I know too well that you have the answers I need at this moment.” Stan began but noted on his own that he hadn't said anything that Adoth would take seriousl
Stan knew that there was more to what it meant by that and he believed it would explain further without being asked to do so, thus he waited for it to continue. Just as he had believed, the system continued, but this time it was with an instruction.[It is high time you join the others in the shelter.]“Not until we are done with our talk.” Stan proved stubborn and the system had no option other than to do as he has said after all, he would be the one to surfer the punishment of not obeying it immediately.[I can not possess up to two hosts on any planet, therefore once you are killed, then it is the end of my existence here on Earth as the planet will fall or humans will have to devise another means to defeat the aliens which have never happened before. This better explains why you are wanted dead by all costs.]This was strange to Stan as he found it difficult to believe because that was not how he viewed systems before now. He had every tangible reason to argue with Adoth on that,
The helicopter landed in Washington DC, at another elite academy where advanced training takes place. Here in this branch, the parents of most of the elites that survived the attack in Columbia branch came to pick up their wards and also those whose children were lost in the attack also came to get proper information about the attack and why the masters were not able to protect the kids under their watch. The aliens had not entered Washington so the story which they were hearing was not clear to them, they found it difficult to believe as it seemed to be a lie having no proof. The crowd in the academy was massive and many were looking very angry because they have lost their children and it could not be taken lightly. “Here comes the low class I have been telling you about.” Guzman Ronald said to the parents of Rudo Walid that were there to pick up their ward but was told about his death. “Don’t tell us that this rascal is responsible for our son’s death?” Mr Walid said to Guzman bec
Trisha Graham got to meet with her mother who was there to pick her like every other parent had come for their children. She first hugged her mother because it was almost two years since they last saw each other. Trisha was among the few students that never went for holidays since they joined the academy, but with the news of a lot of children dying in the academy the parents of these children had to create a chance to come get their wards and ensure they were still alive.“Oh my baby,” Jeanette Graham said as she wrapped her arms around her daughter Trisha.“I miss you so much mom.” ”Me too. Thank goodness you are alive. Your father and I have been so worried since we heard the news.”“Is he here with you?”“Of course, he is the master of this branch.” She answered but further continued as she sighted him coming their way. “Oh, here he comes.” Trisha quickly turned and ran to hug her father, Isaac Graham. “Daddy…”“That’s my girl. Hope you are not hurt?”“I’m okay. Daddy you need t
