Even though they had become silent, the aliens were already sure of their presence, and in addition to this, they were still looking for Adoth's host which happened to be Stan so with him coming close to them, they could sense his presence thus opening fire in the part which they were hiding. Ling looks around the environment where they have come out as he thinks carefully on what to do next. Stan Gibson, Nassor Dimka and Lisa Perry successfully out smart those aliens as they did not stop shooting at the block which Stan is believed to still be hiding behind until they approached it only to see that no one was behind the block which had made them discard the Nassor and Lisa who would have fallen victim of them. At the time when they noticed Stan was not hiding behind the supposed block, it was already too late.Miles away from the place, Stan, Nassor and Lisa were panting heavily due to the race they had indulged in. The old man’s countenance changed after seeing their teeth and fingers as he had requested, so he asked, still pointing the gun at them even though he wasn’t looking as dangerous as earlier. “How come you have these weapons if you are humans as you claim?” From the question, their minds became at ease a little bit because they could now tell what the whole instruction was all about. At least they were quite sure that he would not hurt them as long as they played their cards well. “We took it from the aliens.” Nassor answered him. “Do I look like some kid you could just lie to? Then he looked at Stan who appeared to be leading them from what he saw and said. “You, tell me how you got these weapons?” Stan did not know what to say to the old man that would be convincing because Nassor had already told him how they got the guns of the aliens. In the company where Ling and Trisha had finally agreed to the request of Murphy, Iva and Chelsea to join them wherever they go. The aliens refused to leave the environment, thereby trapping them there for over twenty eight hours. Several times they have tried leaving the twelfth floor, but it was not possible because the aliens were everywhere in the vicinity and also on the ground floor. It was now obvious to them that aliens knew of people being in the vicinity that was why they had refused to leave.“We can’t stay here forever. We need to do something.” Chelsea said to her brother Murphy.“There is nothing we can do. Besides, we have all we need at the moment in this building.” Iva answered her.“It’s so boring staying in one location for a whole day.” Chelsea still complained, she was not the type that loved staying at a place for too long. A few minutes after Chelsea came out of the bathroom, they began to hear the sound of helicopters flying above the building and it was something to be suspicious about, so Murphy looked out of the window to see what exactly was going on above them. From what he saw, he could tell that it was the soldiers of the country and at once he turned back to his sister and said. “What did you do?” “Nothing,” She stammered, but her mood and tone told otherwise, thereby letting them know what she had done. “What the hell is wrong with you?! We already talked about this, why did you do it.” Murphy was very angry that he felt like hitting her. In short he was going to hit her if not for Iva who came in between the both of them. She was also angry at Chelsea’s action but she knew that hitting her will not solve the problem. She had called the military already so there was nothing that could be done to reverse what she did. On the twelfth floor where Ling, Trisha, Murphy and Iva were still contemplating on what to do next, they heard the explosion of the chopper on the rooftop and at once Murphy became more worried than he once was. His mind went straight to think about his sister as fear gripped him, causing him to think that she had died in the explosion. “Murphy, no,” Iva grabbed him as he was about to run out the room to the top of the building. Tears had filled his eyes already and it was nothing unusual. “You are still alive because you chose to stay with us, so don’t jump into their den, only be killed. Control your emotions.“No… let go of me.” Murphy pushed her, as he ran out of the room but Ling pursued him at once, he did not want him to die like his sister as they had suspected.Still running up the stairs, bullets were shot from above, it was the captain and the men he took with him into the building first. Meanwhile, Trisha had been listening to all they said even though her mind hasn’t aligned with it, but from what was heard, she left like there was hope for them, so she left the chair she was sitting and came to look through the window because the sight alone might give her a suggestion on what is to be done.What she saw amazed her so much that she had to put her head out of the window,looking left and right towards the sides of the buildings because she might see something that would help him leading down through the window.Well, Murphy had already checked out for this same thing which she was checking out for and none was found, so she could not see any too.
