ALEXANDER CHASE: A dead man’s revenge.

CHAPTER SIX.

After he was sure that he was fine, Alex turned off the shower and walked out of the shower, his whole body was soaked and Clarrisa almost screamed when she saw him.

“Do you want to get sick?” She immediately grabbed a towel and began to clean his body.

Alex cringed at her touch and collected the towel from her. His unusual long hair was dripping wet and it made him look all alluring.

“What were you even thinking?” She fumed.

“Are you ready to play the game?” Alex asked after a while.

Clarrisa sighed and walked into his closet to get him a fresh set of home clothes.

“Here” she shoved him into his hand, “change and we will talk”

After changing Alex came back into the room and Clarissa was searching through his laptop, his countenance changed and he immediately snatched it away from her.

“Stop going through my things”

Clarrisa rolled her eyes and sprawled herself on the bed,

“What do you want to use my father’s account for?”

“I told you Clarrisa, a wedding present”

Her forehead creased into a frown, was he trying to play around with her?

“He is the one who is supposed to give us a wedding present and not the other way round okay?

Alex felt like giving her a slap across the face and walk out of the room.

He walked over to the bed and sat down, if only she knew the person she was talking to was not her fiancé.

“You want to refuse me?” Now he wanted to play the blame game, one thing he understood was that Clarrisa never said no to Alex and she was going to use it to his advantage.

Clarrisa couldn’t say no to his puppy eyes, even if this man treated her badly at time she was madly in love with him.

“Fine, I will see what I can do about it”

“Promise?”

She nodded, “promise”

Alex faked a smile at her and focused his attention on the laptop again. He was already able to convince her, how he wished she would just leave.

Maybe the universe was on side because she stood up after a while and grabbed his bag.

“I am leaving?” Clarrisa announced but she didn’t look happy, she wanted to spend time with the man she loved but he was not ready to even take notice of her.

Maybe if she got him the account book, he would be less cold towards her.

“I will ask the driver to drop you off” Alex didn’t even raise his head from his laptop and a smile was tugging at the edge of his lips.

“I came with my car and I can leave on my own, maybe when I get the account book then you will be willing to give me your time, Alexander chase” after talking she didn’t even wait for his reply and she turned on her heel and left.

Alex continued to look at her retreating figure and he didn’t even feel any ounce of pain for her, if he had his way he would have put a bullet through their brains already.

His musing was disturbed when his phone rang and he saw that it was Aiden.

Sighing to himself, he pressed the phone against his ear and waited for the other man from the other end to say a word.

“How are you feeling now, Alex?” The doctor asked from the other end, “do you remember anything?”

Alex was contemplating whether to tell him or not, the only person he could trust at the moment was Bianca and she was not even around. A lot of people were not to be trusted and Aiden was not left out even if he was the doctor.

“Not yet. I am still struggling to put two and two together”

He heard the man from the other side sigh, “ I think we should have a hypnosis session done on you this time around Alex. It had been two days now and you can’t remember anything, this is way longer than expected”

“I am fine Aiden and I don’t need a hypnosis session”

After talking he ended the call and closed his eyes.

“Bianca” he muttered under his breath, he wanted her to be around at the moment. She was the only one who would be able to make him imbibe the whole life of Alexander chase.

Dressed in a pair of blue tailored suit, his hair was slicked back beautifully and he looked so good while making his way to the car but Alex’s mood changed when he saw Clarissa’s car drive into the compound, he wanted to turn around and go back inside.

Why the fuck was she so clingy?

“Hey baby” a big smile plastered on her face as she hugged him but the big guy didn’t even move, he stood there like a statue while she did the work.

“Why are you here so early?” Alex leaned lazily on his car while his deep blue eyes traveled all over her, as usual she didn’t look appealing to the eyes.

“Do I need a reason to visit my man?”

“Oh please” a frustrated sigh escaped his lips, “you and I know you are to busy working for Gerald and you don’t have time to gallivant around”

Clarrisa pouted but didn’t say anything, she has become used to this man’s hurtful words. Maybe when they got married, he would treat her better.

“Well” she opened her car door again and produced a brown envelope from inside it while stretching her hand towards him,

“Someone asked to play a game with me and here I am trying to complete the game”

Alex collected the envelope from her and immediately tore it open, he was apprehensive about it. How he wished Gerald didn’t get his hands on the papers that day.

“Everything is there, the record of his accounts for the past ten years. No single record is missing and i can assure you that”

Alex didn’t bother to answer her and read everything word by word until his eyes fell on it. The transfer of fifty billion United States dollars from the account of Jayden Baxter to Gerald. This was the proof he was looking for, that bastard actually got his hands on the papers.

That moment Alex felt like the weight of the world was on his shoulders, how could someone be so cruel? Gerald was no more than a sin which needed to be eradicated from society and from today that was his main goal.

“Are you okay?” Clarrisa asked when she noticed the countenance on his face.

“Thank you for the info though”

He didn’t even wait for her response and immediately boarded his car before zooming off. Alex was fucking pissed and he wanted to clear his head.

“Not even a proper goodbye” Clarrisa muttered under her breath while watching his black Porsche accelerate out of the house.

All his workers stood up the moment the big boss entered the office and the aura emanating from him could not be ignored at all. The big boss always looked angry but right now he looked like he was about to tear down the heavens.

Even his workers all greeted him, neither did he answer or wave back at them, it was that bad.

His assistant was already waiting in his office with a cup of black coffee in his hands while Alex’s table was neatly arranged.

“Good morning boss” Bruno greeted with a smile on his lips but all he got was a deadly stare from the boss.

“How many times will I tell you all that I don’t like coffee?”

Bruno was taken aback, this was the same man that said he wanted coffee the day before and now he said he didn’t want coffee. His boss was really strange at times.

“But….”

“Bruno” Alex gritted his teeth and banged his hands against the table, “do as I say”

“Yes boss” the scared assistant immediately ran out of the room, why was his boss extremely scary today?

After Alex was left alone, he took out the documents again and began to read it word after word. He still couldn’t fathom how Gerald got the audacity to act the way he did. Not only did he kill his family members but he had the guts to even steal his own property, wasn’t the old man scared of dying? Wasn’t he scared of being struck by lightning?

The more he read through his accounts book, the more Alex got angry. He could see most of the transactions that Gerald had done were all from his father’s money, it was too painful to even comprehend.

“You asked for what is coming for you Gerald and I swear I won’t let you rest until you take my revenge on you”

This was the promise he has made to himself and his family, before the real Alexander chase would be back from anywhere he went he was going to cause Gerald more pain that he had even caused for him and that family lawyer of his, he would make sure he didn’t go unscathed. The only thing he was waiting for at this moment was bianca. She was the only one who would be able to help him imbibe the whole life of Alexander chase.
