41. Something Obvious

As she requested the answer, she stared deep into his eyes.

Alex had to sigh, almost dumbfounded.

"Don't think like that, I did all that because of security, Harley. Please don't get me wrong - you're a nice person and I've never seen you as a whore," Alex explained to her as she turned her face in another direction, not smiling.

She was still thinking over whether to accept the fact that he lied to her. She also thought that he may have had other reasons for doing that, so she sighed.

"That's not what's important now. Just recover, and maybe keep a low profile - I think that's best," she said. Alex nodded and smiled.

After treatment, by then she wasn't there anymore. Alex wore his dress, wanting to go see if Barney was awake.

After he was done, Alex went straight to Barney's room. However, on the way, he stumbled into someone, and the papers in his hand fell to the ground.
