CHAPTER 8: A BABY FOR SEBASTIAN

Two weeks had gone by so fast.

And it had just been Sebastian, in his suite all day, eating and chilling with N*****x Series that he even got a bit fat.

'oh buddy'

A smile curled up on his lips at the thought of it, as he was making his necktie.

It was Monday. And it was the day he was officially resuming work as an Executive Assistant in the Kensington Tech Company, K&T.

Sebastian stood before the mirror, examining his reflection.

His black suit was tailored to perfection, hugging his body in all the right places. His cufflinks glinted in the light, adding a soft look to his appearance.

His curly cinnamon brown hair was slicked back.

A soft smile curled up on his lips.

It was a promising day and Sebastian felt really good, he had the money, he had the perfect suite, and even a job.

He felt like he could go through any hardships that came his way at this point.

He was that confident!

He grabbed his briefcase, stole a final glance at the mirror before stepping out of his suite.

Heads turned, mouths murmured and girls winked as Sebastian walked past the lobby.

A proud smile graced his face in confidence as he continued to walk on.

"Good morning, Mr. Everhart," Mr Ace greeted as Sebastian stepped out on the hotel's Porte Cochère.

"A good morning, it is." Sebastian greeted back, his face beaming as he got into the car.

And it took off.

Sebastian's mouth opened slightly in amusement as he stepped down from the car to the entrance of the Kensington Tech company. He was incredibly astonished by the sight.

Sebastian felt like he was stepping into a futuristic wonderland with the picture sleek glass doors that slide open automatically, revealing a grand lobby adorned with shimmering chandeliers and plush velvet sofas.

Sebastian slowly kept walking, his eyes beaming with amusement at everything he was seeing.

The floor beneath his feet was a polished marble masterpiece, reflecting the soft glow of hidden LED lights.

Sebastian let out a small amused gasped as his eyes fell on the massive video wall displaying mesmerizing visuals, and showcasing the company's cutting edge innovations.

"Mr. Everhart, this way," Mr Ace called, When he saw Sebastian was way behind him,

'oh'

Sebastian recollected himself and started to walk behind Mr Ace.

As they walked on, they got greeted by receptionists dressed in sharp suits, with smiles on their faces.

Sebastian smiled back at them, he gave a little wave as he kept walking.

Soon, they got into an elevator. Sebastian watched keenly as Mr Ace pressed on the last floor button. He swallowed hard, a sudden pang of nervousness flushing over him.

They arrived at their destination. And just as the elevator door slid open,

"Ahaa," A man standing at the front of the elevator exclaimed, with his hands clapped together as his eyes rested on Mr Ace And Sebastian stepping out from the elevator.

"I will take him from here," He quickly whispered to Mr Ace, who nodded to the man and Sebastian before getting back on the elevator.

Sebastian looked around with a slightly muddled expression on his face.

His eyes rested on Oscar, Oscar's head was completely bald and his slightly wrinkled face held a big smile at Sebastian.

Sebastian let out a parched uncomfortable grin.

"Hello Mr. Everhart," Oscar emitted, a full smile still framing his face.

"You are welcome to K&T, Kensington Tech. It's a pleasure to meet you. You can refer to me as Oscar," Oscar let out with his hands extended to Sebastian, who abruptly took them in a handshake,

"Pleasure to meet you," Sebastian uttered with a puny smile,

"Your office is this way," Oscar stated as he led Sebastian down to the side of the hallway,

They passed by a bunch of people on their way who didn't fail to bow slightly to Sebastian like he was some kind of a big figure.

Oscar led Sebastian into a fancy looking office, it had super nice furniture, like really comfy chairs and shiny wooden stuff.

The desk was made of fancy marble.

The lights were fancy crystal chandeliers that made everything look fancy and shiny.

And the office had big floor to ceiling glass window with a great view of the city.

A small smile curled up on his lips.

"Your secretary will be assigned to you soon," Oscar added

Sebastian turned to face him with a pleased smile on his face and he gave a little nod.

And just then his eyes rested on Celeste, with her hands folded over chest, and a poker expression on her face, staring hard at him.

Sebastian flinched a little, his legs abruptly took a few steps back before he could recollect himself.

'Why was she here?!'

'oh shit!'

"He... hello," He stuttered with an awkward hand wave. He then quickly cleared his throat. 'oh jeez'

"You can go now, Oscar." Celeste uttered.

"I would like to have a word with our new Executive Assistant here," she added as she started to walk closer to Sebastian.

"Yes ma," Oscar replied as he quickly zoomed out of the office.

Sebastian cleared his throat again.

"I..actually...um.. wasn't expecting to see you here. Ho.. how have you been?" he stuttered, even surprising himself.

'get a hold of your self Sebastian! be cool'

"I am the CEO of this company, where else would i be on a Monday morning?" She let out,

"What...!" Sebastian bawled out loudly, engulfed in abject shock.

'sshhhhh'

Okay, yes, of course, he was fully aware that the Kensington were the owners of the company but not that Celeste was the actual CEO.

How was he supposed to deal with that?!!

"There is something I need tell you," Celeste suddenly uttered quietly, bringing Sebastian out of his deep thoughts.

He lifted his eyebrows with curiosity

His face in a tight lipped smile.

Ethan felt his legs get feeble, his palms sweaty, his eyes widened and all the hair on his body stood when he heard her say...

"I'm two weeks pregnant,"
