Please don't be frightened, my darling," Sylvester whispered soothingly as his henchmen escorted the Perry, out of the dimly lit room. Once there, she was directed to shower and provided with a resplendent dress, indicative of an upcoming special event.

"Did you truly believe that I would allow you to suffer without food for several days?" he inquired, a hint of amusement in his voice as they both took their places at a lengthy table.

Perry couldn't quite comprehend the sudden shift in her captor's behavior; just yesterday, he had been surly and cruel, but now he appeared downright jovial.

"Please, do not let fear consume you, my dear. The food is entirely safe," Sylvester reassured her kindly, observing that she had yet to touch her meal. Concerned for her well-being, he approached her and sampled a small portion of her dish, confirming that it was not poisoned.
